* Our family is a circle of love and strength. With every birth and every union, the circle grows. Every joy shared adds more love. Every obstacle faced together makes the circle stronger. The love of a family is life's greatest blessing.

As a former fast food addict, one of my biggest tips is NO DRIVE-THRUS!

I figure if I can't get my ass out of the car to walk in and get something then I really don't need it. That includes simple things like drinks or Starbucks.

The first 185 pounds melted off, then the struggle began. Remember the hardest part of the entire journey is maintaining the weight you lost!

Protein first, anytime you eat!  Be prepared! Always have some type of protein with you so you won't fall into the rut again.

For me as a sugar addict it's important I limit my sugars as well. I'm proud to say in the 3 1/2 years since surgery I still have not had any regular candy. Maybe it's mind over matter but candy and sugar was what I lived for before surgery.

Great post!
