Good Morning Tuesday!
If Medi-Cal isn't providing good service to you and you're not getting a response from them, call your Assemblymember or State Senator and their staff will help you if it has to do with billing or payment issues. If it has to do with getting an appointment with a doctor or a particular service, you would call one of your elected county supervisors. To find out who your state representatives are go to http://www.assembly.ca.gov/defaulttext.asp and click on the "Find my district" link.
Good luck!! Don't wait untl the absolute point of frustration to get help.

Yes I am awake, and I am exhausted. Between my asthma acting up and the sniffles that I have developed 50 mg of benedryl kicks your arsh! I have to get a shower going soon and get ready for my big day out of here. Where am I going you ask?? Well I get to see the doctor and then to physical therapy. I will be refilling my pain meds today because I think I will be feeling like poop after therapy. One a wonderful good note, the large two holes that I had in my spine on my scar have now closed up. The smaller one closed about a month ago, the second one is looking just like a small cut now, so no more nurse everyday, and we will see if I can now also take pool therapy which is what I really want. I love being in water, and it just is so much easier for me. We shall see, so I am finally on the damn MEND! Now my first goal is to toss away my walker and start to walk maybe with a cane. Word of advice people, if you have back pain please see a doctor. Don't let it get worse, find out why it hurts, and then go from there. I went to chiropractors for years and they were the ones that finally said, I can't help you, you need to see an orthopedic and get it fixed. I am so glad I listened and wish I had done this years ago.
So Dougie will be home early to drive me to the doc, it's been almost 3 months since surgery and they still won't let me drive, and I am glad. Being on the heavy meds I take for pain, whew, be like driving drunk! Also I have weined myself down on the amount of pills I take. It's wonderful to see everything just a little clearer now.
Everyone have a wonderful fun day. Just being out in the sunshine will be great.

Diane, good luck with your doctor's appointment. It's good to hear your wounds are healing. Keep it up!
My Tuesday started at the lab in prepreation of my 6th month check up with my surgeon. I have never had so much blood taken from me for lab tests!! I called my lab tech Dracula. Luckily she laughed.
My Tuesday involves writing lots of letters to constituents about legislation and issues in general. Later, if the traffic cooperates with me, I'll get to a 7 pm meeting early enough for me to take a 30 minute walk before it starts. I've been so challenged to fit in exercise when I work 8-10 hours per day with a 2 hour commute. It's nuts!!! I try to do car aerobics when I am in a complete traffic jam. The people around me think I am having a seizure!!
Take Care all. Happy Tuesday.

Afternoon Rhonda and Cali gang! Sun is shining, a slight breeze in the air and way cool 70deg temps...what can you ask for better in California? I love the fall!! But I do feel for all of you who suffer allergies..now and spring time are @#$$ for you...I almost feel guilty not suffering.
I was able to surprise my DH and MIL this morning....decided to use some vacation days and take Thanksgiving week off from work. Then I calculated how many days I had left, how many I would have available in January...then called and told them both that not only would we be in Washington for Thanksgiving..but I had the time to take in January to return there for the family get-to-gether at my MIL's house...like 40 people show up! Needless to say, they were both extactic! LOL Gotta remember, it doesn't take a whole lot to make someone happy when you take their feelings in to consideration ^_^ My MIL just turned 90 (and as sharp as a tac!) and you just don't know how long you will have your parents around...I lost both my mine way back in the late 80's and early 90's. She has been a fantastic MIL...and she didn't have to be...she could have made my life really misable with the family if she had decided to 'ignore' me LOL
So, that is my 'out of the box' step for the day, Ms Rhonda...but then I love surprising people...especially my DH..he HATES surprises LOL Today is just work, going for my evening walk with the dogs and relaxing with Lon...nothing stressful here ;-)
Have a great day Cali...it's gorgeous outside!

Thanks for such a positive, and uplifting thread. I am a newcomer around here, but not new to WLS. I was banded in 2007 and had it reversed to the sleeve last Tuesday. I am still in "recovery mode." Taking it easy, so to speak. I work from home and spent most of the morning in my office. Ran a couple of "light" errands today. Might do some light housework this afternoon, and spend more time in my office. I don't want to have things lurking over my head!
I am determined today to get my 75g of protein in and take my Vitamins and Medicine. I am also determined to let my family know I love them and appreciate their support.
Have a great Tuesday.

I am really looking forward to participating more on the board. I am determined to get these 40 pounds off of me by February. That is the personal goal I have set for myself. I can't wait to get moving again. I would like to take my dogs for a walk, but am afraid the pulling might be too much 7 days Post Op. I think I am going to give it a few more days!
