Did you move to lose today?

Hey where is Rick?  I wonder if his computer crashed again.  I hope he is not sick, I know he has had some health issues lately.  If you talk to Rick tell him I miss him and hope all is well.

I walked 2 miles this morning and will do 1 hour of Pilate's this evening.  You know some days I wake up and feel like I could just conquer the world and other days I feel like so weak that I can barely drag myself out of bed.  I guess that is just the nature of this surgery.  I am still so glad I got it!

Can't wait to get off from work to hit the gym.  Today I plan to do 60 minutes of intense cardio....

15 minutes spinning
30 minutes running
15 minutes rowing

Weights?  Yes.....shoulders, triceps, and chest

Wow Gus!  How long did it take you to work up to doing all of that.  I am exhausted after the pilates!

It took time......

When I was 457 lbs and shortly before having surgery, I barely made it walking to the corner of my street (about 100 ft).  I would gasp for AIR and would break in a sweat!

Since surgery, it took about a good year to get to where I'm at today....my endurance, strength, and energy has gone out the roof!

That really gives me something to look forward to.  I thought of you while I was doing pilates tonight.  When I wanted to stop, I knew one day if I hang in there I will be able to do so much more!  Thank you for being so inspiring to us newbees!

Ok, this really does count, at least for me, went down, washed the floor and then climbed the stairs again!

The stair thing for me is a killer.  Ask Jean, she wanted to help me climb them, but I didn't need her behind me pushing my butt up the stairs....now tomorrow therapy starts....OMG....then you will not see me for awhile, I will be drugged from the pain!

I don't know where Rick is...I still owe him a phone call, and I wonder how that job interview went too?

That really does count Diane!  I am proud of you.  I hope therapy goes well tomorrow.  I hope Rick's job interview went well too.

Hi Elizabeth (love the new avatar!)  Haven't moved yet...but then I know the dogs will meet me at the door in about an hour, just waiting for me to pull out the leashes and hit the sidewalk. LOL

This weekend I upped my speed, without realizing it!, and instead of taking 45 minutes to walk the mile, I completed 1 1/4mile in 30 minutes.  I was so jazzed at what I had completed, I did a second walk Saturday afternoon and it wasn't a fluke!  I repeated the time and distance...and I'm really beginning to enjoy the walking.  NEVER thought I would be one to say I enjoy this type of exercise LOL
