No WLS for me
When it comes to major medical decisions, you should ALWAYS get a second opinion. In my opinion.

So sorry to hear of the news you received from Dr. LePort. Besides the fatty liver, not sure what else is going on. Every doctor and patient is different. Although I went through the same group, I had Dr. Ali. My biggest concern of course was my liver and I thought for sure they would have to open me to do the surgery as all my previous surgeries have been this way.
I did several weight loss programs only to gain the weight back. However, WW does work, but I chose to go back to old eating habits. From my experience with gallbladder surgery, I had the large cut and w/in 6 hrs. of having surgery I became very, very ill. After many tests and nuclear medicine, they found that they nicked my liver during surgery. There is nothing worse than puking bile. My tongue and chin looked like I had been burnt by acid. I ended up on feeding tubes and a hospital stay for 1 month. This was just the most horrible experience I have ever had in my life and at times prayed that I would just die.
So, please do not give up. Do what ever it is you need to do, to shrink your liver and if there are other complications, please seek the advice of another surgeon. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily. You have my number if you want to talk.
Keep you chin up darling.
