WOW moment, I cross my legs when I sit. LOL

I noticed that now after WLS and losing 95lbs I sit with my legs crossed.  I never did that before and even if I tried at 328lbs it probably would have been painful and uncomfortable.  I noticed that as I was evaluating a patient today and taking notes, I rested my clipboard on my right thigh while my right leg was crossed over the left thigh.  AMAZING!!!  It was a very comfortable position too.  I remember looking at others pre WLS and thinking they were so uncomfortable when they sat with their legs crossed, well to my surprise, it's not.  I know this post might seem weird but I just thought I'd share my WOW moment.  It's weird how something so small can mean so much.  This kind of reminded me when Star Jones said she knew she had to do something about her weight when she could no longer reach her ankles to apply lotion.  Shoot!, Now if I had to use my feet to apply lotion to my face I could probably do it.  Guess what, I just tried, my big toe touched my forehead! LOL LOL

Good for you! Nothing wierd about it.  Like Jean said I cried the first time I noticed I could do that, now that is the only way I sit.  You go Girl and there will be many more wow moments for you to come I am sure of it.

Hey Surgery Sister!!!!

Congratulations and your WOW moment.  This is soooo NOT weird.  I had the same one myself a few weeks ago.  I was sitting in a chair and decided to see if I could cross my legs and I DID!  I was so happy I even had my husband take a picture of it.

Keep up the good work.  You are doing great!

Not weird at all!  I remember thinking about the day I could cross my legs..and the top leg would hang down, not across my knee LOL  At support group the other nite, a pre-op gal noticed that myself and another gal sat with our legs crossed...she said she couldn't wait until she could do it also.  So, see, you are not alone!  I think us gals ALL want to be able to cross our legs...it's just in the genes LOL   But I do remember my mom telling me..."Ladies don't cross their legs at the knees...a Lady crosses her ANKLES!"  Ahhhhhh, the 50's ;-)
Congrats on your WOW moment..may you have a bizzilion more!

What an awesome WOW moment and what a feeling it is to be able to cross your legs.  I really think I would ever cross my legs and some people could not understand why and now I cross them all the time.  It is such a great feeling and accomplishment.

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Congrats, this is just one of many little small things that make this weight loss surgery so fun!!!!  You can post anything you want without apology, it's not trival to anyone here.  We all go through the same things at different times and if it's a big deal for you, it's a big deal to us!  Again congrats!!
