Oh how I wish I were fake....fake boobs, fake hair, fake nails, fake face (face lift would be so nice).  I just want the money to be fake.

OK, sorry Kirsten I couldn't resist.  But you are correct my dear.  There are alot of people who claim to be someone who are really someone else.  Mostly people who aren't welcome here or even have been banned from OH, but are able to come back with different names just so they can try to stir up drama and trouble.

Word of advice, be careful who you befriend.  Remember online, one can be whomever they choose to be.  It's a land of anonimity.  Please do not assume that because someone seems so nice online they are now your lifelong best new friend.  Friendships, true friendships take time to cultivate and while I have made some of the most wonderful friendships of people I have met online, those friendships all have a face and a history and I've taken the time to get to know them in person. 

OK, off my little box.  I need to get to work.  Yuck.

I couldn't have put it better myself. You have a way with words. A lot of emotions and a person's true self are hard to come across cyber-land. People do tend to hide within the bytes and bits of their computers. As you so succinctly stated, this does not mean that everybody is hiding, because like you, I have met many nice, wonderful friends online. We remain friends to this day.

I am so sorry that some people feel they have to make up who they are. As the others said, it could be they are banned from OH or who knows. That is no reason to be untruthful. Just my two cents. BTW--Kirsten, I heard when they released the route for the 2010 marathon yesterday, they said they may have faster times for a lot of the participants, due to the fact a lot of it is going to be on a downhill grade! I am hoping to volunteer for a water station soon. Do you have any dates available? Let me know. Would love to help you out.

Yes, they sure did release the new route yesterday at 6:00 a.m.  I was sitting at my computer waiting for it!  LOL

It is a lot of downhill so that will make faster times, but can also be dangerous on the quads. 

The only dates taken right now are:

Nov 28th Paula K and husband
December 12th  Celest and Gary
