I was coming out of the shower this morning...getting ready for my usual Tuesday morning bowling league. I had put on my undies and walked up to a big mirror over top of my sink vanity in my master bathoom...an area I never used until I started renovations on the "front" bathroom. (full mirrors and i have not been freinds for many years!) As I was getting ready...there in my undies, to brush my teeth, I looked at my reflection and was surprised to see my belly button where it belonged...right in the middle of my waistline, just above the waistband of my chonies! I was impressed with my little wow moment....I gently touched it and was surpriesed that it wasn't much of an innie anymore. Then I had a brain surge and lowered my chonie fronts about 3 inches...THERE sat my REAL belly button..lol I had not paid any attention to my dropping tummy size and realized my uppermost incision scar had settled down to my waist. ghads!!
When I go in my for tummy tuck in the next year or so, I will instruct them to just sew me back together and leave the scar as my new belly button..lol

Maybe WLS doctors can fashion a new belly button (at the incision site) for patients while they are still under anesthesia ...lol

In time, when it drops to the right spot..the patient has earned their panni or tummy tuck..lol
