Good Morning California

That's exactly why I posted what I did the other day.  Because I too miss the way it was 3 years ago when I first joined.  I loved this place!  It sure has changed a lot.  My post had nothing to do with ANYONE........it was good spirited and was only meant to help remember the way it used to be, and see if we could start to bring back some of the "traditions" that have been lost (angels, last suppers, etc).  I see a lot of "newbies" come in and quickly leave, and wondered why.  After thinking about it....I realized that if I had come in now instead of three years ago, I probably wouldn't really stick around.

((((((Kirsten))))) I completely agree with what you've posted. I have almost let the Cali forum several times because I don't feel supported as much as I did even a year ago. That's really sad.

Well everyone has been really great to me.  If you want to see some fighting go to the main board.  They cus each other out.  I also enjoy hearing about people's days and what they are doing.  I just want to thank all of you for the kindness and support you have given me. 

Ok OH'ers - Let's all take a minute, take a big deep breath, step back and remember why the heck we are here on this board.  Support, encouragement and hopefully friendship.   Rhonda is here for love, laughter, friendship and just wants everyone to be nice,not to be mean, and to "hold hands, sing kumbia and laugh until they pee their pants".   I just spent a wonderful weekend down in So Cal with a bunch of gals from this board.  Everyone was awsome and we laughed, sometimes so hard we almost pee'd our pants.  I, for one, know I laughed so hard once my sides hurt.  This is why we are here.  This is what life should be about.  All this negativity does absolutely nothing to promote this concept. 

I'm here for support.  To give support and encouragement to those who are facing surgery and just after.  I'm here to get support from those who are further out than I am. 

I love posting about my day.  I love reading about other's days.  I love hearing about the runners.  Actually the runners posts are encouraging me to actually think about taking it up.  The daily posts are pushing me back into the gym.  This board does an awful lot.  Posting daily keeps me on track.  The weekly weigh in posts keep me motivated to keep to the number I have set as where I need to be.  Without this board, I would have no mental accountability.  True, I could lie, but what's the point.  We get support with positive reinforcement.

Let's stop the flaming and carry on in a positive peaceful supportive manner.  Everyone I've met so far is awsome!

Good morning everyone.  Well not much going on, waiting for my new cell phone to arrive, going to go through some clothes that I had stored away when I got too big to wear them and then maybe watch some movies.  Tonight I'm picking up a girlfriend and going to a meeting.  That's it for me.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Funny, I never got an invitation to SECC and I am fun, nice, supportive, honest and have a great sense of humor. So, unless I am missing something, where was MY invitation??
