Is anyone having the R N Y on Nov 24? I am, and I'm starting to feel a bit anxious about the surgery. I started my clear liquids diet and just came out of liquids only (protein shakes).

I guess I will be having lots of popcicles and jellobut oh well!

Greetings,

I just wanted to say CONGRATS on your upcoming surgery and to the beginning of your new life. It is very common to feel anxious about your surgery and I dont think there is one of us on this board that didnt feel that way. Just remember we are here for you and to support everyone through their journy before, during and after WLS.

Have a great day..........Rick

Rick,
Thanks so much for your kind words.

I think is great to have this type of support, especially when there is a lot of people that do not understand that for some of us this is a new and important journey in our lives.

If you state your home city in your avatar information, you might be able to get contact from a local person to talk to or visit soon after your procedure.  Best Wishes and a speedy recovery for you!!

Hi-
I'm having VSG surgery on the 24th. I'm right there with ya! I'm getting very nervous too. A couple times I thought maybe I can do this on my own- yeah, for like the umpteenth time! I'm doing a lot of cleaning and prepping for my return home rom the hospital, anything to keep me from thinking of a hot meal...and another excuse.
I will be thinking of you on Tuesday. We'll be just fine

Congrats to the both of you on your upcoming surgeries.  Sandy you are doing exactly what you need to do before surgery, get your house in order!  That is what I did, I worried less about food and worried more about 2 men taking care of the house.

You two, again congrats and take care, think ahead to next year at this time, you will both be new yous!!!

I'm still in the process of cleaning my nest and have it ready for when I get back from the hospital. House....done! Laundry...Done!

Besides cleaning I have also try to keep my mind occupadied with other types of entertainment such as seen New Moon (twice) :) I'm totally ready to have my surgery. As you can tell I'm a big fan of Twilight!

Thanks to everyone wishing us well in our surgery. Will update web with post-op progress
