OT: Prayers needed/ appreciated

So right now I am going through something and I have no idea what it may turn out to be. Hopefully it will be something simple but so far I have no answers.

So here is what has happened so far...
On the 12th I had a headache and the 13th I had a major migraine. Usually I only have a few a year but this was the granddaddy of all migraines in the world. I couldn't kick it so I went home and slept it off. Saturday the migraine was gone but I had right eye pain. By Sunday it was still there so this being 4 days I went to urgent care. The doc there told me it was either my migraine still or could be brain cancer. That was so lovely of him.. I know. Tuesday I went to my PCP and he looked into my eye and said everything looked ok. Used ultraviolet die and a light plus I still had 20/20 vision and only a pain. He called in a referral for ophthalmology. By Wednesday the pain was unbearable and my vision was changing my doc called in a script for vicodin. Vicodin kicked the pain and I slept for hours. Woke up pain gone vision still funky. By Friday I went back to urgent care and I can hardly see out of my right eye. It is completely blurry, making it darn near impossible to drive or read. I get pain when I try since my eye can't focus, so I am missing work. I go to the Ophthalmologist tomorrow morning but was hoping for some prayers to whomever you believe in in the mean time.

The doc on Friday said it could still be the migraine or stress. But really stress induced right sided blindness... I guess it is possible. My family is hoping for not brain cancer at this point and so am I. I probably wouldn't even have it in my thoughts if it wasn't for the first urgent care doc.

I mean I have to have a positive outlook on this but what could it be. Any prayers are appreciated.

You will be in our thoughts and prayers for a good outcome and the relief from pain. There are so many things that could cause this but I wont tell you not to worry because I know you will.......

I am trying not to worry but I guess I just want answers good or bad at least I would know. It is the not knowing that is hard. I will definitely keep you updated.

I would see as many doctors as it takes to get the correct answer,  I get mirgranes and let me tell you nothing helps them, no pain meds, nothing, the headache needs to just go away on it's own most the time.  SO saying this, do not let a doctors tell it, it might be, or it could be, go and get a solid answer.  I am sure that a mirgrane could do all kinds of things, but you aren't getting the answers your deserve or need.  So find a doctor who will LISTEN to what you are saying and get some answers.

Thanks Diane. when I go to the doc tomorrow I dont plan on leaving without some kind of solid answer. If this is an effect of a migraine (now a week out) I want definate answers. I need to know why my vision is getting worse, not better. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers

OK I will be blunt here. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN A REFERRAL TO A NEUROLOGIST.  ACTUALLY I RECOMMEND YOU GO TO THE ER NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY WILL DO A CT SCAN IN THE ER. IF THEY DONT FRIGGIN REQUEST IT.  THAT IS THE STANDARD OF CARE. I AM NOT SURE WHAT YOU WT IS IF YOU ARE BEYOND THEIR WT REQUIREMENT IT MAY BE AN ISSUE. DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Liz... I have actually been considering it pretty much all day. I just havent made myself go.

I would really encourage you to follow Liz's advice.  Today you have to push and advocate for yourseld more than ever before with medical issues.  When my incision became infected had I just taken my surgeon's PA's word I would be in a world of hurt right now, but what she said didn't sound right and I kept pushing until I got the care I needed.  You's seen the opthamologist, now push for the neurologist - cover all of your bases!
