I want to trot a turkey for 2 miles,  Where do we do that.   MOMO I will have you know that in the past two days I have shot 2 Bucks and 5 Does.  Yes I know the difference now!  It was so much fun.  I did not think I could do it but I did it.  It was great.  I got to **** the gun and aim.  I also shot 13 turkeys!  You would have been so proud of me!  Now mind you this was in all in a video game, in a bar on the wrong side of town, but it was done and I have a witness, many of them actually!  Now can we shoot the turkeys on the turkey trot?  Keep me posted as that was just a blast, my arm is exausted from shooting so much though, and I got to wear regular pants with the UGGS and not camo, now I did get some adorable lepord skin pants I think I am going to wear to Thanksgiving, is that appropriate to wear animal prints to Thanksgiving?  I better look that up in my etiquite book.  Well I got some work to do, Shall talk with you later.

Good Morning Bard and Cali Friends. I am sending you all wishes for a very happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving holiday.  Eat smart, be healthy and be who you want to be.

My hubby and I are leaving this afternoon for Vegas to pick my dad up and then we are headed to Golden Valley, AZ, which is about 25 miles from Kingman and Laughlin.  My son, Chris and his family, will join us in Arizona as well as my other son Joe and his girlfriend Alyssa.

We are doing the whole turkey, ham and food thing.  I haven't really been to hungry lately so I am sure that I will have no problems with temptations this weekend.  Maybe a bite of pumpkin pie.  LOL

Hugs to all.

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Good Morning

I am thankful for being 1 week post-op and doing good.

I am thankful for my morning sf popsicles that take the place of my latte.

I am thankful for my friends and family who will have x-tra days off from work and be able to be together and enjoy.

I am thankful for the OH site and the wonderful Cali freinds on this site, and Barb who is like the best cup of coffee with her diligent morning Cali wake up and be thankful posts.

I and family will be traveling to So. Cal to be with SIL  big family for Thanksgiving.

I wish you all a R&R Thanksgiving day and long weekend. Be safe and enjoy. As my brother use to say don't eat to much turkey (for me turkey broth) lol.

Good morning and a Happy Turkey Day Eve to everyone,

So the countdown is beginning for the long holiday weekend.  I know I will get out of here early today, but how early still remains to be seen. I have nice bosses, but sometimes they just don't think that there is a difference between letting us go at 3:00 and making us wait until 4:30.  At 4:30, why even bother. I don't think they do it to be mean.  I think they are men and just sometimes don't think about these things. So hopefully 3:00 will be the hour of the day.  Then I have to stop at the market and get all my things for cooking.

We are going to my sister's tomorrow, but we split the cooking chores.  I do sweet potatoes, green beans, pies and cakes.  This year will consist of a corn casserole as well.  Pies will be Carmel Apple Crisp, SF Pumpkin Pie and of couse chocolate brownies or cupcakes for my kid.  It's not Thanksgiving for him unless he can finish with something chocolate.  Actually no meal is complete for him unless it ends in chocolate.  Better yet, he could live without the meal, just give him the chocolate.  Fortunately he did not inherit my fat genes.  He's a tall and skinny one.  Actually not so skinny anymore.  He has filled out, but in a good way.  So I always make sure I have something chocolate for him.

Mike and I are still tossing around the idea of hitting some Black Friday shopping, but I'm thinking all our good intentions and thoughts will probably remain in bed sleeping.  Warm and snug like two bugs in a rug.

Well time to get busy here.  Hopefully the day will go quickly and I can be on my way.  Everyone have a great day.  If you are traveling today, please stay safe and be careful and as always, in the rush of the holiday, be sure to do something nice just for yourself.

We are going to my DIL parents house.  Her mother won't let me bring anything.  So I will bring her some flowers.  My youngest son is coming home tonight. I can't wait to see him.  He turned 27 yesterday.  For those of you who are traveling today be safe and everyone have a great day and weekend.

I almost forgot I did not lose any weight last week.  I was complaining to my husband and he reminded me I have lost 45 lbs and I really could not complain and he is so right!

Good Morning Barb, and Cali Crew,

Happy Thanksgiving Eve to everyone. I am enjoying my morning coffee on the couch watching the Today show. I am not much into shopping, and I usually avoid going on Black Friday, to many people for my liking. I am working tomorrow. Our unit has been having bake sales and other fund raisers, so they are catering our lunch for us. I think it is very nice for them to do that. We usually do a pot luck, but I am sure this will be just as good. Not much planned for the weekend. Still have to get some things organized around my house, and I have tons of leaves that I need to rake up in the yard. Sounds fun eh. Chris you can put me down for 5.6lbs lost this past week. I hope everyone has a fabulous time tomorrow, with family and friends. Stay safe.

Hugs Eileen

Good morning barb and cali!

Soooo glad to be off work today!!

I'm having lunch catered for my eye doc's office today in a couple hours, and will go by there to help set up and take the paper goods. They've cared for my eye needs for going on 20 years, and i have a LOT of eye needs! Also, this year, they did a pro-bono (completely FREE) medical eye exam for one of my students, AND made her some oh-so-trendy glasses...free... she has no insurance and is VERY near sighted (like me!)....so, I am thankful for my eye doc!!

Cleaning the house today... family coming tomorrow.... quite possibly the last Thanksgiving with dad here with us, so we're all going to make it special...

Love to you all...

Good Morning Barb and Cali Crew!Happy Thanksgiving Eve! My holiday weekend starts today. I am heading down to San Manual, to play Bingo with some friends, that I have known since high school, boy thats 23 years since I graduated! Yikes. When I get home around midnight, I am heading down to my mom's. I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for her tomorrow, just a small gathering. Like MoMo, the big gathering is on Saturday. All 6 of my brothers and sisters, spouses, grandkids, great-grandkids, cousins, aunts, friends are all gathering at my sister's house. This is the day, we pick names for Christmas and have a loud, but fun time. I may do some Friday shopping, Wal-Mart has given my husband and extra discount through the 3rd of January. So hmm, 20% off at Wally world! Lol. and good at Sam's Club too!I hope EVERYONE has a fantastic Thanksgiving season. May you all be surrounded by family and friends, love and friendship. Please keep in mind those that don't have family to share this holiday with or those that have ill loved ones. I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. I won't be home again until this weekend, so I will post as soon as I can. Good luck to those who are facing their first holiday meal, like me. And continued success to those that have gone through the holidays before.Hugs, love, & friendship always,Michelle

Good Morning Barb and California Peeps!

Today I am going to be running around, having lunch with some friends, shopping for some Thanksgiving stuff, finishing laundry, going to a meeting and hanging out in between.

I have a plan for tomorrow thanks to some friends on the board here and am looking forward to my first post op Thanksgiving.  This is my last week in the pureed phase.  A little anxious about what I eat next and keeping my protein up, but I am pretty sure I will figure it out.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving wherever you go and whatever you do!
