Good Morning Cali Friends - Happy Thanksgiving Eve
Haven't posted yet to these good morning cali posts but I felt today was a great day to start.
I am 4 weeks out of surgery on Friday and have hit a stall, but am thankful for the 37 lbs I have lost since my highest weight and 27lbs since surgery.
I am thankful I went on this journey as it has changed my life.
I am going to my mom's for Thanksgiving. My contribution is that my daughter (15) is making the pies. (never been a real favorite of mine so its no big deal) She is so excited to be given this responsibility.
No black Friday for me this year, I just got laid off and will have no job as of January. Instead we are camping on the beach in San Onfre on the military base. It may be a little cold but the view and the peace and quiet will make up for it. I am looking forward to relaxing with friends, especially since it's my birthday this Saturday.

Good Morning All
Wishing EVERYONE a happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.
Today brings work all day then to the market or local restaurant to pick up some dinner rolls for tomorrow. We are not doing anything special and eating at 11 am so my son can eat with us. He has to work from 12:45 - 8:30 pm tomorrow (Mimi's). I think it will just be the 4 of us, but my SIL had a bad fall yesterday leaving her office and ended up in ER. I will call her in a bit to see if she would like to join us and her brood is welcome as well.
Most of my shopping is done and the only items left I can do at anytime. I do have to say though, I went to the mall on Sunday and a few other places. I walked that damn Lakewood Mall for about 3 hours. "I HATE THE MALL" is what I used to say. After losing 70 lbs. and being able to walk with no back or knee pain and no sweating I can now say "I TRULY ENJOY THE MALL". It was so nice to walk around in and out of many, many stores and carry several bags without all the prior complications I used to have. Now my husband just need to make sure to keep me in check or I will become a shop-a-holic as I now enjoy shopping for clothes for myself and enjoy dressing up for work every day, heels and all.
As for WWW you can put me down for a 2 lb. loss

I made it back from vacation safe and sound and 3.6 lbs lighter--much to my surprise!!
We had a great trip. We were camping for a couple days in the Sierras. It was so cold without all the extra padding I had last year. It was much easier getting up and down the creek bed to fish, though.
It is going to be a quiet Thanksgiving for me-just the boyfriend and our combined kids (5)-maybe not so quiet. I want to relax and get some knitting done.
For those of you with 4 days off, enjoy. I will be thinking about you as I am sitting at my desk on Friday--Payback for having 1 1/2 weeks off.

Tonight I have to make 2 big corn puddings to take to my cousin's house tomorrow. I got paid today, so do you know what that means? I get to fill up my gas tank!!!!!! (Don't mind me, I am happy for the simple things), Tomorrow, stuff my face and be merry! Friday, no sales for me. Saturday is low key as well. Sunday, a hike (hope I survive it) and SFV Coffee.
I am tired now because I stayed up late last night trying to clean my bedroom. Good news-I made a decent dent in it (and found a lot of things that were temporary missing). Bad news-still have a lot to do.
Everyone, have a great day! Don't eat too much...oh I forgot, we are all bariatric patients, we cannot eat a lot anyway!
