Good Morning One and All......

I woke up this morning thinking how nice it would be to be call and asked if I would like to take a day off, because I know there is 3 of us at work today, and I know on the weekends, we only need 2. About a minute after I poured my coffee the phone rang. YAY!! I was called off. (Using my own time) How lucky is that? So I could have slept in, but since that is out, I will be going back to bed in a bit.

So how was your black Friday? Did you shop til you dropped? Per the news today, break out your sweater and jackets. Calif winter is here. LOL

Mo......How neat it was to do the turkey trot, I have always wanted to do one, but always work. So how much wood did the "boy" chop? You sound like you all was having tons of fun with card games and your dinner sounds great. Enjoy your turkey today.

Ms. Shell.........did you get your warm coat? How bad was the shopping groupies on black Friday?

Rhonda..........where is costco outlet? never heard of it. are the prices better then at costco? Enjoy your day of doing nothing.

Barb.............you know, that is what i missed this holiday. no mashed potatoes and gravy. Gosh I love that stuff. I might have to make some. The gravy wont be as good, but I can fake it. Did you and Linda have a great day out shopping? what did you get me? You did get my list right?

Eileen.........I am sorry you didn't get to spend it with the family, but it is good that you was able to celebrated earlier in the year. Yes that was a very long time to wait. Pass on the rake, and get a blower. They are much faster and with the blower you can share the leaves with all your friends. LOL How did the time with trainer go?

Lady D.........Thank you for the offer, but I would not have crashed your party. But then you was cooking, so I might have made the trip  and brave the colds just for a doggy bag. LOL You and I are a lot a like, I don't like shopping, and dislike even more on days like black Friday. Both you and Doug feel better soon.

Les..........What? you passed on the hoard's of insane shopper? What a great day for you that you was able to wear your wedding rings. How neat that was for you, and I bet your hand looks wonderful.

Katt........Your gathering sounds like and relaxing. Sometimes the smaller get together are fun, but I do miss having the whole family around the table with everyone talking at once. I don't love turkey so not having left overs is OK, but dang the ham!! I wish I had a bit of that left over...lol Hey, there is a place (one bed room) for rent. $750 a month

Dolores........I bet being that close to the ocean it is very cold. What movie did you see? I just seen Blind Side, what a great movie. Be safe in all you do.

Well the coffee cup is empty, so its time to go back to bed.
If you get the chance to see Blind side, take it and go. OMG what a great family friendly movie. It really is a good show. I might just have to buy when it comes out on CD.

I wish you all a great day. Be safe in all you do. Let me know if you want my wish list sent before you hit the shops.

Remember: You are loved by someone in Riverside.

Morning LU you beat me, I got up bright and early I was about the post a morning post and thought... Oh I will reply to something first then up it goes.... Now you beat me.

But how was your Holiday? Mine was alright. I tried my best to not over eat as I am pre op, but one never knows. I think I did good. I didnt make myself sick and I only had one plate for dinner. Not much left overs cause family took a great amount home.

I didnt shop on Black Friday cause I work on it, and back in the day I used to work retail I saw to many fights, and pushing, and people being jerks I dont bother... the deals are not that good.

God bless our troops

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Lu, so glad you have the day off now.  Enjoy yourself, you deserve it.

Had a GREAT day shopping yesterday.  The longest line we waited in all day was at Old Navy, so I made the best of it and shopped my way though it, got myself the cutest pair of flannel lounmge pants and a top and got the rest of Ron's Christmas gifts (he always gets a few shirts) and a present for my new little grand cousin born just this past Tuesday.  We had so much fun and Linda brought her Granddaughter with her and she was a wonderful help.

Today is inside decorating day, there are 14 totes of decorations waiting for me.  Ron got everything staged and now it's up to me.  Just a little decorations and I managed to find another Christmas sax playing toy for me!  LOL

Well guess I better get moving.  Hope everyone has a great day and weekend,

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning Lu and Cali,

Sitting here with Jordyn we have been MIA.  Everyone is taking turns with a cold I got then gave to Jordyn and now to Grandmother.  Life is good though and I am excited for Christmas with Jordyn.  This is going to be fun this year.  Last year she didn't care.  My black friday shopping consisted of ordering pocket size camcorders for me and my sister.

Everyone enjoy the day.

Good Morning,

Lu you want ham, get in your car and get your butt over here to my house.  I have got enough ham here for an eternity, and I won't eat it and Doug can't have much because of the salt content, so come on over hon. You will get plenty and probably get enough for over a week.   By the way, you can crash this place anytime....always welcome here.

I think today Doug and I feel better.  Maybe the meds are kicking in.  I don't seem to have such as bad of a cough as I did yesterday.  Being asthmatic it always worries me when it gets to my lungs.  So far tho, so good, so I will keep praying.

I am so glad to read that so many did so well on Thanksgiving, and if you didn't, best thing to do, is get right back to eating correctly the next day.  We should never feel bad if we slipped into an old habit one day, as long as you hop right back on the losing wagon again.  I have found that food just doesn't taste as good as it did before.  Nothing does, well ok, the cheesecake I made does, but other than that, it just isn't what it used to be to me.  That is a great thing for me.

Ok, can't decide whether to get up and go out even with the rain, OR, stay in and get the tree up and the house decorated....I think we may decorate.  Nice to have cooler weather, when I turned the fan off in the window this morning it was 46 degrees.  I love this kind of weather.  OK, I know it's late but I am going to close my eyes again and rest.  I have been sleeping really good at night, and go too long without pain meds, so I take em when I first wake, then I am tired so I take a little siesta.

Have a wonderful day all.

Mmmmmmmm!!!!  Did you say ham?   I LOVE ham so much and my boys don't really care for it so I never buy it.  I think I will go out and get me a slice of it at the store, come home and grill it with a little brown sugar and pineapple.   Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!  That is, after another exciting day at work at WallyWorld.  Can't wait to see what idiots will be out today!  Yesterday was full of them!  Maybe today will bring their relatives out!  LOL!!!

The point of this post to you is that I am JEALOUS because you have ham and I don't!!!

I wish I had checked mail sooner because I would have went over and got some ham. But instead I went to the store and got one, dropped in the crock pot and set it on low for the day.

Thank you for the offer

Lu

Good Morning,

Just sitting here on the couch with my coffee, debating on what I am going to do today. I have lots on the list, but being a slug sounds so good to me. I had a great workout with my trainer yesterday, now of course I am sore all over. I came home after that, and laid around the house, and even had a nap yesterday afternoon. I was so sleepy for some reason. So I got nothing done. Although I did manage to get a splinter in my finger stuck way up under my finger nail. Great place to get one. I haven't been able to get it out. Maybe I will today.  I hope everyone has a fabulous day.

Eileen,

I did the exact same thing once and I made it worse each time I tried to get it out.  I finally just got some antibiotic ointment and kept putting that on and keepy it covered with a bandaid.  It took a week or so and the splinter finally got to a point where with a tweezer I was able to grab hold enough of it and get it out.

It unfortunately will probably hurt, but the ointment helps and the bandaid keeps it protected.

Hope you get it out soon, but if not, try the ointment and bandaid and wait it out.
