Hey Lu and California Crew!

Lu congratulations on being called off and being able to enjoy your day! 

I am so grateful I didn't go out shopping yesterday!  I hung out at home and in the afternoon went to visit a girlfriend who gave birth earlier that morning.  Her baby was beautiful and I got to have him sleep on my chest while me and mommy sat and talked for about an hour.  There is nothing more peaceful than having a new little person sleeping on top of you!

I got my niece's present so now only one more to go as far as the kids go.  Not sure what me and hubbie are doing.  That will leave me to get to work on friends.

It is my favorite kind of day outside - gray, cold, a little windy and a great chance of rain.  Got the heater on, going to light the vanilla candles I just got and me and hubbie are going to watch movies the rest of the day...Heaven.

Good morning Lu Lu,

Ahhh what a lovely Saturday morning so far.  What a great weekend so far.  Thursday was at my sister's house.  No major arguments so I call that a good day.  Yesterday Mike and I did brave Best Buy and Costco, but later in the day.  I don't do the "wait in line all night until the doors open to get a special bargain".  Just not worth it to me.  I did find a couple of things in Best Buy which I will go back on another day and get.  The line to pay was ridiculous.  Today we are about to go out for some breakfast and then thinking about a movie later.  Tomorrow will proabably be laundry and getting ready for work on Monday.

Busy month ahead though.  Something we have to do each and every weekend.  I love the holidays, but I hate them at the same time.  I'm so tired once they are finally over.  Glad it only comes once a year.

Oh well, time to leave for breakfast.  Hope you have a great day.  And remember everyone, do something wonderful just for yourself.

Hi Lu and Cali, Had breakfast in Pacific Grove and then did 17 mile drive. Ms V fell asleep so we are now headed to the Gilroy outlets. Hope it is not too crazy! We saw the new Christmas Carol, it was OK. Ms V was not too sure of it. It was a great weekend getaway to Monterey. Only got rained on one day, the rest was sunny and breezy. Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Good Morning Lu and the rest of the Cali Crew! 

I was 10 short minutes from being away from the house when the phone rang.  Dammmit.  They called me into work!  We have our major family / friends dinner tonight at around 5 and they open our storm room for ONE customer out.  Granted other areas are hammered, but.......I made them promise I will be out of here by 2:30, and once gone anyone answers a phone and I will personally stomp on 'em (at least until I have my first glass of wine then I could care less.  I'd have alcohol in my system and makes me unfit for duty and therefore they cannot call me in).  Double time. 

Lu, the boys cut our friends one seriously huge pile of wood.  Actually suprised them with it.  It's all cut, split and stacked neatly in the wood shed and the wood bin in the house is full to the brim.  This couple never said a word about being out of wood.  Justin and Joe noticed it the other day when they were over there to fix the door.   These boys are so wonderful. 

I spent my day yesterday cooking.  Massive quantity of stuffing, 2 pumpkin cakes, cranberry grind (ooooh, it's yummy!  1 bag of cranberries, 2 apples, 2 oranges, a handful of raisins.  All run through the grinder and then sweetened to taste.  I used splenda.  I also made deviled eggs.

I cleaned out the trailer and got it ready to go back into storage.  Bedding washed, floors swept and cleaned and ready to go.  I keep that thing race ready.  Load & Go.  Never put your toys away dirty!

Off and running.  I have to go update some logs, start a timecard and all that jazz.
