Good morning Jean and Cali! Nothing planned today, just continuing to rest since I have been sick with a really bad cold for almost a week. I think I've turned the corner on it tho. My lungs are a lot clearer this morning and I my voice doesn't sound like a frog is in it...lol Yesterday was a lazy day, but I did cook my second turkey and it came out fall off the bone moist and tender. Froze a bunch for later uses and will be making homemade stock in the next few days. I hope everyone has a great sunday. Remember to be good to yourself, and those around you. x0x0x0

Morning all!

I haven't posted much but I do come on and read.  One would think that losing all this weight would be making me happy but with the holidays here and breaking up with the fiance and still no job or $$  its really hard.  I kinda just want them to be over already and want to fast forward to another 100 lbs down.

Got through Thanksgiving, ate a few bites of each dish I wanted to try and did fine.  I didn't get sick so I was happy about that. didn't feel full either. Yay!

Today, yet again Im going to my old place to gather more things to try to finalize this moving thing to my Moms.  My ex fiance isn't helping much to get out so its frustrating as hell.  I need this whole thing to be over so I can move past it but it keeps lingering and just hurts.

Trying to deal with it all without any vices to fall back on is a challenge.  Right now Im glad Im not a drinker.   I find myself wanting to eat a lot but good thing I get sick if I do so that solves that one.  Can't shop cuz I have no $ with no job so im just going to try to get into walking again.  I was doing so well walking daily for awhile but when my shoulder started getting so painful and i stopped.

This week I have appts for a mamogram, pelvic ultrasound for fibroids the size of cantalopes and with the orthopedic surgeon for my shoulder, they think i need a cortisone shot, we'll see, nothing bad showed up on the mri.

I also have physical therapy and counseling this week and  the final planning meetings for the charity christmas event Ive been planning.

It will be a busy week.  I guess I'll find out if Im going to need surgery right away for my fibroids on wednesday.  I really would like to have a child someday so Im really really nervous about this all.

Thanks for letting me vent all my concerns.   There are more but I'll save it for another special day.. ha ha ha

Hugs to all!

Hi Jackie,

I just wanted to say, that you are going through a difficult time right now, but everything happens for a reason.  I am sorry that you are hurting, but it sounds like you are handling it quite well, without falling off the food wagon.  Hang in there.  Remember what I told you before about how you look, I meant it, and keep that in mind.  When and if he ever sees you again, it will be a slap in his face on how beautiful you will look.  I know that things are tough all the way around for you right now, but my dad always told me this, nothing ever stays the same, and things will change and for the better.  Keep that chin up and know that I am wishing the best for you.  If you need to talk, I will PM you my number.  Hugs, Diane

Great self-evaluation, jackie... that's the thing.. we are addictive people, and just because food is taken away (TEMPORARILY, i might add, to a great extent!) our addictiveness remains.

You nailed it all on the head when you said Trying to deal with it all without any vices to fall back on is a challenge.

I find for me that laziness is a vice still... and reclusiveness...and spending too much money (i'm fairly cautious, but notice a pattern when i'm blue).... and still, eating is a comfort...

I'm going to try out a counselor soon... see how that goes...

our tummies were operated on, but not our emotions and needs and baggage! :)

here's to pursuing health in ALL facets!

You will make it through this and life will get better.  I am glad you don't drink too.  You don't need to transfer addictions.  You will be in my prayers and I am proud of you for hanging in there and not falling off the wagon with food!  Remember the best revenge is living well. Hang in there.

Hi Jean.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your friends especially in their time of need and sorrow.  Losing someone is always difficult; however, much more difficult when the person is a little one.  I will contiue to keep you all in my prayers and thoughts and I know it doesn't make anything better, but I am hoping that time will heal the pain and sorrow.
Hugs

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Jean, one of the things that i love about you is your big heart...you feel things deeply, and so I know that wednesday WILL be hard for you....

if you are free around 345 on wednesday (when I get home from work), want to come over for a cup of coffee and a debrief of the service?

love you... been praying for you....
