I am sure as I am typing this somebody else is making another post. Lol. But thats ok. I just wanted to say good morning to everybody. Welcome back to Nancy aka Sunray! Glad you are back in sunny although chilly Californina.
Lu, I hope you were able to resolve your computer problems. That can be very frustrating.
Dolores, we would love to see a copy of that family portrait. Those are always so nice.
Barb, I hope work is going good and can't wait to see the pics of the finished yard art!
MoMo, sounds like you had a lovely time sledding and playing in the snow. The crowd has spoken and we want more puppy pics and all their names. Got to love that puppy breath!
Eileen, I know working extra shifts is hard, but so worth it in the end. How is the new house coming along?
Diane, sounds like you had a fabulous thanksgiving holiday. Thats what its all about family and friends. Only 13 more days! Whoopee!

Nancy aka Sunray, Isn't family great -- sometimes? That was awesome of Lon's son and daughter in law! I bet Santa is going to be extra nice to them! Lol!
Becky, I hope you are able to have your surgery tomorrow. Huge prayers for a successful hernia surgery and a great recovery. Not too fast. Slow and steady will do it.
I am sorry if I am forgetting somebody, but you are all in my thoughts. We are wishing everybody luck who is going to be having surgery.
I hope everybody has a wonderful day. Drink your water, take your vitamins, remember the protein, and do some exercise! Smile at somebody today, its free, it exercises your face muscles, and it may be the only kind act that person gets today.

Computer problems here at the office again.  I can get on the internet, but that is about it.  Not bad in the big picture, but I have work I need to get done and I can't.  It's very frustrating to say the least.  Hopefully they will resolve this issue we are having eventually.

Oh well, I guess I'll go get some coffee and do nothing.  Hope everyone has a more productive day then I seem to be having.  LOL

good morning Michelle and Cali,

Today brings the director back from vacation (lets see if she is in a better mood now!).  Have to get through all my Christmas stuff and make sure I have all I am getting.  Waiting for a few things to come in the mail.  DH has to do the rest!

Going to try and make some added protein tamales as a trial run.  Hope they come out OK.  I made it through last year without a single one, but figured if I could add some extra protein and make them smaller I could eat one or two during the holidays.

Life is good today, now I don't know if it is because I had a good nights sleep, or because I just drank some coffee and I don't usually do that, and it has given me a buzz....we shall see if this wears off.

I am not doing much today, I am back working that protein thing, too much crap I have been eating and the scales show a gain, so I am going to behave the next few days and get it off.  As RNY patients we have the ability to lose weight so much faster now when needed, if you follow what you learned. 

OH GOODNESS......today is a special day for someone, I will post it in a sec, I just thought about it, but it is someone's 3 year anniversary,  Ok, I better get and do my duties here before I forget.

Michelle - thank you for the shout out.  Don't worry about me.  Everything will work out the way it is supposed to.

Cali- I came into the office late today because I went back down to the L.A. Housing Dept. to continue filing my grievence against the owner and the manager of my apt. building.  Last night, I spoke to the manager and asked if she had given the people (w/ the shopping carts) notice that they had to move them out of my way.  She said that her husband (who doesn't live there) will be on vacation and will be parking there for the next month.  She then told me that she "almost" got into a fist fight with the lady (in front and is subleasing a parking space to some who doesn't live there) this past weekend.  The manager claimed that the lady acted ugly and bascially, the manager is scared of the tenants.  She, the manager, said that she did not want to be anymore unpopular with the tenants.  Her point was that I should understand how angry people get and I told her that she should understand that I am angry.  The conversation ended with her taking a phone call and promising to knock on my door and she did not.  (Liar).   So, before Noon, I will fax 6 months worth of rent reciepts to my contact at the L.A. Housing Dept. so that my investigation can continue.
