Morning Lady Di!  Oh, and the rest of our wonderful Cali Crew.  I was a busy girl last night!  Nails done, old man's lunch made and then sent him off to work.  Did the dishes (why can't my old man put his dirties in the dish washer?) brought in 2 loads of fire wood, took the trash out, took the cans out to the street, went and bought the old man 2 new work shirts, picked up my new dress heels at JCPenneys, did 4 loads of laundry, folded said laundry, and ,.............. played with puppies.  Whew.  Tonight I have to pack.  Headed to San Francisco first thing Friday morning for a board meeting and our Christmas Party.  Home on Saturday and will spend the rest of the weekend relaxing.

Puppies are all getting so big.  So far I have named them:  Vinnie, Dutchess, Lilly, Maddy, Brutis, Time-Out, and Barnicle.  Need names for two chocolate boys.  This will come to me soon.   Brutis got his name because he's the biggest black, Time-Out because he always wiggles into the corner to sleep and Barnicle because he always has something dangling from his butt after he poops!

Paper, off to shuffle the paper.

Take your vitamins, drink your water and remember to dance as if nobody is watching!  I did last night for a while (only the dogs were watching)

I have Barb's cell # and depending on what time everything gets done and where I am on the road I can call and she can "talk" me in.  But, Joe only gets ONE day off a week and I'd kinda like to be there to enjoy it with him.  Other than that the other 6 days are spent either sleeping or working.  12 hour days takes a toll on a chubby old bald man!   I'll see what I can do!

Good morning everyone...Gosh, I'm so in the holiday mood.  Anna and I already bought our two trees - one for our bedroom and one for the living room.  We've decorated and almost finished with all of our wrappings.

Can't wait till X-Mas!  Hope everyone has a wonderful day.....Tomorrow is Friday!

Good morning Diane and the rest of Cali,

Nothing special going on in my life today.  Still have laryngitus (Mike is so happy the butt head) and work today and bowling tonight.  Started a new craft project last night.  Years ago I used to make  giant punch needle pictures (not latch hook. It's a different technique). I would buy burlap and staple it to a frame and free hand some kind of picture which had to be put on backwards.  I know it sounds weird and not being the most artistic person, it was hard.  So I found these little kits at Michaels which are on a much smaller scale with a much smaller needle and so I bought one and started it.  It's easier for me to do then the cross stitch because my eyesight sucks so bad.  So I'll work on my cross stitch a bit and work on my punch needle a bit and try not to scream out loud when all the cuss words start going through my head because I've made one mistake or another.  It's all supposed to be relaxing. Yearite.

OK, I guess I should attempt to do something here other then drink my coffee.  Actually I think it might be time for one more cup.  We made this Vanilla Caramel coffee this morning and it's pretty darn good.

Hope everyone has a great day.

HIJACK!!
To Steph and all crafters....ya know what would be fun..I've done it with several groups over the many years....a crafters day.!!  A lady opens her house to a group of crafters...we all bring our projects, bring our sewing machines, scissors, needles, yarns, batting, stuffins...you get the picture.  Tables are set up for the machines and cushy chairs and good lighting set up for the needleworkers...yeah, I like the sound of that.  Its something done as often as a group likes, clothing is comfys and bandanas with ponytails!.  If I can get my house in order, I would like to plan one of these in the next year...maybe meet 2-3 or more times.  Its a day with the gals, without the fuss and fru-fru. Its amazing how many stitches and knits and purls can be done whilest gabbing..lol
Just a thought....

Sounds like fun, Kim.  Count me in as long is it's after tax season.  I know, my life is so boring from January to April 15th.  6 days a week of working and Sunday's after laundry I usually just want to be a slug.  But you plan something and maybe I can work it out.

Kim,

That would be a great idea.  I have my own Ott-light that I could bring.  Keep us posted.

Hi MoMo,

An Ott-light is a lamp that put out day light vs. the yellowish light that most lamps put out.  It's is like you taking something outside to look at on a bright sunny day to see it's "true" color(s).  A lot of crafters swear by these lamps.  If you are ever interested in purchasing one (there are serveral styles), I would suggest that you sign up for JoAnn's e-mails/mailing lists.  Why?  Because you get $$ saving coupons (up to 50%).  Those lamps and their bulbs are expensive.

Say for instance, I wanted to knit something with black yarn.  Black is very difficult to knit with because the stitches are difficult to see.  The best choice is to knit outside in the natural sunlight, but the second best choice is to knit with the Ott- Light.

To see all of the different styles of Ott-Lights go to www.ottlite.com or www.joann.com

Hope this helps.
