I'm back!!!
First of all, thank you Diane for being my surgery angel and keeping everyone posted!!!
As she told you, surgery went well and I am now at my mom's in Victorville recovering for a few weeks.
Surgery was about 3 hours long... they repaired the hernia and then Dr. Choa, my plastic surgeon, took off more of my tummy and finished repairing my Mons. From what I can tell so far, it looks great.
I can see my coochie without having to move anything, woo to the fricken hoo!!!
There was a hole in the mesh that the new hernia had pushed through. It was repaired and is now double meshed with different kinds of mesh. There was some inflammation as well that they think may have been some kind of infection at one point, but mostly they just said my stomach muscles are VERY thin and weak from all the years of hernias and being overweight. He said in about 8 weeks after the hernia has healed properly, that I need to start abdominal exercises to try to rebuild the strength in my abdomen. Hopefully I will get to this point this time before a new hernia comes in. They are still pretty baffled by it all except that my stomach has been through a whole lot and isn't the usual case.
I will NEVER have a gorgeous stomach or be bikini ready, but hopefully this was the last surgery and I can build some muscles back up.
Thanks SO VERY MUCH for all the love, support, and prayers... I felt them go with me into the OR and beyond. YOU ALL ROCK and I love you so much!!!! bigg huggs, Becky

I don't come here as often as I used to my life is just too busy these days and with the holidays and working as hard as I do! (like anything is different). I am more of a facebook junkie these days and loving it to be honest with you. I am glad that things are going well for you and you are recovering well. I hope and pray that this is your last surgery! No more aliens for you. Take care and you shall stay in my prayers as always.

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!
We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they
ALL exist very nicely in the same box.
