Good Morning Lu and Cali Crew!!
Yup, it sure is coldy outside!! Last night, up here in Hesperia we had some snow flurries, heard Victorville saw more snow than we did. I had checked the tempature at 10pm and it said it was 28 degrees and with the wind chill factor it was 15 degrees! Yikes! Yesterday, I went out to run a couple of errands for the house and work, thought for sure I would only be gone a couple of hours, Wrong!! I didn't get home until 6 last night! I came into the house, looking like a wet pup left out in the rain! hair was plastered to my head, clothes were soaked, I was shivering. I ended up taking a hot shower, making some s/f cocoa, putting on my flannel sleep pants and a thermal, snuggled up in my big soft blankie and watched "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" (an oldie, but a goodie!). and "Find My Family". While playing on Facebook. Pure heaven!!
I actually found the sleep pants on sale at Kmart. They are normally $13-14, they were on sale for $2.99!! Hey, I don't mind polar bears and snowflakes, if they keep me warm! LOL! I asked they worker why they were so cheap, he said that they are trying to move stuff out, because they already have their spring stock in!! Seriously?!! Wow!
Today brings me telecommuting, so after I jump in the shower and put on another pair of flannel sleep pants, guess where I am going? Yup, in the covers with my laptop!! Right now it is 31 degrees, with the windchill it is 20 degrees!
I hope everybody has a great Tuesday. Be safe and careful out on those roads. Still chance of mudslides in some areas. I don't think we are supposed to have rain today, the sun is out, but its still too far away for me to feel it!! haha Stay warm and hug and love on your family and friends. Sometimes we all need to hear we are appreciated from others. I know I appreciate each and every one of you. Without the support and friendships that have been extended to me through this board, I don't know where I would be!

Hi Cali,
Nothing going on with me today. Last night I purchased a heater from Bed,Bath & Beyond. A piece of crap! I think I will be returning it tonight. It's one of those heaters that's only warm when you are right up on it. I kept it on all night and my living room was still cold.
Tonight, I am going to a Holiday Shoe Preview Sale at Off Broadway in Woodland Hills.

If it is any consulation...northern central valley is just as cold as any other place in Cali. LOL High today is suppose to 'reach' 40 degrees..but the sun is shining, no wind...just the cold air down from Canada. I'll take it! Thursday and Friday is predicted rain...so, it is what it is when it is ;-)
Support group was fun last nite..great seeing everyone again after being gone for 2 weeks. Tonight is our annual carving club Christmas dinner..my last one as Treasurer..and having to be there early, collect money and check everyone in as they arrive. Too much like work!! And last year, I left without paying the final bill!! They had to call me at home to go back and settle with the office :-( Won't do that again this year...it's too cold and it's 30 minutes away from my house.
Finished up my Christmas ornaments for the raffle trees at dinner tonight and almost finished my crocheting of a scarf...don't know what I'll do with it, but at least I'll have it finished...maybe next year's White Elephant Exchange gift???? LOL Next up is Brianna's baby blanket which is the reason I started the scarf..needed something to practice on ;-)
Going to go fix lunch, play some cards, check email and relax for 1/2 hour..then back to the grindstone. At least I get to leave early so I can get across town for the dinner. Hope everyone finds a way to stay warm..and So Cal...hope no one has to be evacuated due to mudslides :-( Those fires last year left alot of unprotected hills above a whole bunch of houses...sure hope none of you are in danger.
