I want to try to bring this tradition to OH, it works wonderfully on this other website where I post.  Do you have your tree up yet? Is it fresh or fake (like Lola)? Do your lights twinkle or do they stay steady?

Do you add tinsel? Is your tree flocked or is it green?

I know there are a lot of crafty ladies here, do you have handmade ornaments on your branches?

I want to see your Christmas tree!

POST PICTURES OF YOUR TREE!!! If your cat, pup or kid gets in the picture....even better!!

I put up our tree yesterday, but there are no ornaments on it yet. I'll post a pic once it has a few decorations on it.

We get our tree this weekend.

Its normally 6ft tall and all of our ornaments are special to each year. My son his 8 ornaments and this year his shows off his Karate skills since he just started Karate this year. When my hubby and I got married we got one that read our first christmas married.

So no our ornaments dont match. And yes we have some hand crafted ornaments also. Our tree is always real, its green, our lights are running lights so they have various speeds and times. No tinsel since the cats will eat it and then gag.

God bless our troops

Mo,
You guessed it!  Mine is as Fake as ME!  ;-)  It is little and busy this year.  I let Lil Man have control over the tree and he decorated it.  I will take a picture tonight and post it.

Define 'fake'!  If you cut down your tree, then it is 'dead', no longer a living tree...if it is made out of anything else than wood, I guess it would be considered 'fake'..but if it is in the shape of a tree, smells like a tree, looks like a tree..and you call it a Christmas tree...then how can it be 'fake'!??? LOL

Our tree is 2ft high, green, sits on our entertainment center, has fiber optic 'lights' and we decorate with hand carved wooden ornaments, some make by Lon and myself and others made by our carving friends.  As soon as I get the ornaments up I'll post a picture ^_^
Merry Christmas Monica!

IF I put up my tree this year...it will be my tiny 3 ft. fake tree that I put on a coffee table.  It will have clear lights and red, silver, and clear ornaments.  That is IF I put it up at all this year.  I don't have much Christmas spirit this year.

I will not be putting up a tree (fake) this year as I haven't for the last 3 years.
Too much funiture to move around.
Without struggle, there is no progress.

I had to switch to fake last year because we figured out that my son is allergic to real ones.  It has clear lights, and all of my ornaments are hawaiian or beach themed, most I bought from my trips to Kauai or gifts.  I have no camera right now, but I'll take a pic with my phone if I remember.

I, too don't have much spirit this year, but I am trying! I put up my tree on Wednesday hoping it would bring a little more spirit my way. It is a 4ft Noble tree, which smells yummy! It is decorated with white lights. The ornaments are ones that I have collected from previous vacations that I have taken over the past seven years. I love the fact of when I unwrap each one from the tissue paper, I get to remember the place where I got it from.  I miss those fun vacations, but I don't miss how fat I was during those trips.

We get a real tree.  My DH doesn't like the fake ones.  I am going to buy it Dec 19th this year.  My DIL will be out of school and I won't have the kids much.  My granddaughter Devan is 8 months and pulls herself up on everything so I really don't want to worry about the tree coming down on her.  I will take Ryan my grandson with me to pick it up.  He is 3.  Last year he went with us to get it and after I had it decorated he kept rearranging everything.  I got  unbreakable  decorations and put the breakable ones up near the top.  I do have some that are home made, but I bought them.  I am not crafty at all.  Nancy you should have a Christmas Sale and sale me some of your wood carvings!  We have lights and beads and special decorations.  I love Christmas.  When I put it up I will take a picture and post it.  This is a great idea!
