Morning Cali - It's Wacky Weigh In Wednesday

Good Morning Cali Friends,

It's that time again, wacky weigh in Wed where we post our losses and gains and hope to collectively break a Cali record for lbs lost.  Our very own "Booby Bandit" Chris will report tomorrow how we did as a group.

Chris please put me down for 1 lb loss this past week.  I'll take it considering 2 parties last weekend.  I managed to do pretty well considering I sampled cookies.  I was proud of myself though, I only sampled and then stayed out of them.

How is your holiday shopping going?  Are you done? Any good sales you care to share with the group?  How about great on line deals?  Do tell.  I am almost done, a few last minute things and I should be all "wrapped up."

Ok, well better scoot and get into the shower I have a chiro appt at 6:30 and I can only hope this darn shoulder improves.  Looking like an MRI is in the future.

Morning Barb and Cali!  I actually remembered it's Wednesday today . . . well actually I came in yesterday because I was thinking THAT was Wednesday . . . but I'm remembering to check in at least!

Today is my 2 year checkup and get bloodwork results . . . and they (both the doc and PA) are going to access my port again . . . which has to be cheaper than doing the test at the hospital . . . don't wanna spend that kind of money at all!  We shall see.  I stay within 2 lbs either way of my 100 lb mark . . . so I could live with that.  Another 50 lbs would be wonderful . . . but might be part of a pipe dream!

Morning Barb and Cali,

I am the same no gain or loss, which is great.  Trying to maintain now and see a fluctuation of .4 up and down on the scale. 

Got the last of my shopping done last night.  Need to get a few things in the mail to my sisters in Tacoma and Albuquerque.  Feels good to be done.  It is a light Christmas this year, but it helps us remember the reason for the season!!

We decided to surprise my parents and drive down south on Christmas day.  Hopefully we can get there by 2 and have dinner with all my crazy family.  We have spent so many more Christmas days with DH's family so they better understand.  I will do Christmas eve dinner for them all.  My MIL works on Christmas eve and loves it when I make dinner for them so it will be a treat for us all.

Well better get hopping, DH and Ms V just left I need to get going.  Have a great day everyone!

Mark me down for a 1.3lbs loss this week...yippeeee skippee!!  Was such a good girl on Saturday and even better last nite where I had to deal with 'menu' fare ^_^  I am slowly reaching toward that Century mark...oh so close yet just out of reach :-(  Counting on Fakee Lola's new accountability thread to get me there next week.  Perfect timing Lena!!

Hope your shoulder gets better Barb :-(  I have bursitis in my left shoulder...tylenol usually keeps it under control but this freezing cold is wrecking havoc with it right now.  I totally empathize GF!

Good Morning Barb and Cali Crew,


Hope everyone is staying warm on the cool morning. I am up 0.6lbs this week. The joys of working the last 3 days, and swollen legs. I really do need to get support hose. I also need to up my exercise too. I have been a bit lazy the last few weeks on that. I do so much better when I am working out consistently. I am headed to work at 11am this morning, and hoping it will only be for 8 hours, I will just be a helper today. Which is so nice, a change from what I do everyday. Not much else going on for today. I just have to get off the couch and hit the shower, but I am nice and warm under my blanket. I hope everyone has a great day, and only 3 more days and its the weekend. Barb, hope your shoulder feels better soon, and they can figure out what is wrong with it.

Good Morning Cali,

I had to go ol' skool last night in terms of keeping warm... I turned on the oven and opened the oven door.  Dangerous I know but my behind sure was warm!

I enjoyed the shoe presentation at the Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse at the Topanga Mall, last night.  I received a reuseable Steve Madden goody bag that had a $10 gift card, a water bottle, a pedicure kit and a racing shirt in it.
I did not win any of the $20 gift cards in the raffles, but I had a chance to try on some pretty shoes.  Let's just say that I am not ready for the 6 inch heels as of yet.

Good Morning.

Well I fell flat of my goal of 5 lbs, but it's ok, because I can tell you that 4 of them are gone.  I don't exercise much as yet, maybe never till we can afford that $2000. pool heater, but it's in our future.  So yeah for me, put me down for 4 lbs.  Now I would love to do that again for next week, but for some reason my body doesn't react to it, we shall see. 

Let me see, Dougie is spending more and more time home seeing as next week he is done with working.  He had his meeting with the Fire Chief and the Deputy Chief yesterday, they are just a tad pissed as to the reason he is retiring, and they both told him if they knew about these problems a year ago, he would still be working.  He is in his office today and bring home the last two boxes, and he may not go back.  Tomorrow is a big party for him and then next week he has 3 more.  I have lost count as to how many already, but whew, the man knew a lot of people and was and still is well respected.

Barb, if you need a good doctor for that shoulder I got the man for you.  Not only is he excellent and caring, they don't call him Dr. Gorgeous for nothing.  It may be well worth the ride, you do like younger men don't you???  I hope that they take care of that shoulder, don't wait till it becomes a useless arm, take care of it now honey.

Well I am off to my Cafe and to meet up with friends.

I have yet to find any deals, I still have not gone shopping. There are no children to buy presents for in my immiedate family so we don't do much shopping. I bought some gifts while on vacation in Hawaii and all I need to do is wrap them.

Oh how I LOVE Christmas wrapping!!! I take great care in picking out the perfect gift wrap and ribbon. Sometimes I even make my own.  One year I wrapped all my gifts in brown paper (like grocery bag paper) and then stamped silver snowflakes over the packages.

I do want to buy Snuggies for my family though, does anyone know of where I can get a deal on them?

I am down another 1.3 lbs this week. Slow but sure. I have a follow up appointment with my surgeon this afternoon. That should go well. I am trying to convince myself to go to the gym after the appointment.
