My 7-year Itch
Now that I've reached my quota for new topics in 2009, I'll use this one as a reflection on my 7th surgiversary :)
Yep, it was December 13th 2002 (a Friday the 13th) where my new life began.
I'm not the most active poster or verbal support giver out there, nor the most senior member (though I'm close), I still hang around these parts and post occasionally. Why? Because I cannot forget where I've been and my journey to get where I am today.
The further you get out, the easier it is to lose focus, bad habits and pounds sneak on in.
I do read a lot of posts and success stories and I remember having a lot of those same feelings. It kinda keeps me grounded so my already massive noggin doesn't get too big.
Over the past year, I've done several half-marathons and even a full marathon as I channel my energy and focus into exercise.
I'm happy that I've managed to maintain my weight (+ or - a few pounds), going from 585 to 230. I still got a dream of getting to 200 lbs, might be a pipe dream, but something for me to work toward.
From the newbies to old-times, keep working toward whatever goals you have, I'll be watching.

Congratulations Brian on your 7Th surgiversary. What a awesome ride, you have chosen to follow. 350 pounds lost is fantastic! Wow! You are such an inspiration to those of us that are just starting out. I love reading success stories, just as I love those before and after pictures. I am looking forward to following your future endeavors as you continue down your journey of life. What a great way to celebrate than to enter yet another race. Thank you for the tips and support.
