Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to post about my 5 mos. surgiversary.

1.  Last month my diabetic medication was cut in 1/2
2.  This past week my PCP cut my HBP medication in 1/2.  I need to go for a blood pressure check later this week and if it comes back good she will more than likely remove me from HPB medication all together.  This will leave me with only cholesterol and anti-depressant.  I will keep my anti-depressant (happy pill) THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
3.  Need to schedule my blood work in the next couple of weeks before I return to see Dr. Ali.

As for my weight I have only lost 3 lbs. in the last month.  It's a loss and I will take it.   I did lose another 2".  So my totals are 69 lbs. lost and a total of 39.75" gone.

I have stopped walking    :(       Bad, bad, girl Annette.  I'll get motivated again after the beginning of the year.

I have stopped being accountable for my food and find myself slipping into some old habits.  Not enought for me to be very concerned with at the moment, however chips and cheese really have no nutritional value for me.  I will try and be more accountable on the daily postings.

Well, there are a lot of changes coming my way in the work of employment for 2010 so I am anxiously awaiting for 2010 to get here.  I pray that all will work out and I will continue to have a job for longer than 6 mos. even if I have to drive to Corona.

I am loving the fact that I can walk through the mall for hours with no sweating, knee or back pain and I can actually find clothes  elsewhere besides Fashion Bug.  Look out Kohl's.  I love the clothes at Kohls.

I bought me some pants end of Oct. beginning of November in size 24 and they are slipping off.  Need to take them to the seamstress to have them taken in to last me another few months.

Below is a link to my pictures on my WLS progression.

Have a great day everyone and Happy Holidays.

Hi Annette,

You are doing great with your meds.  Please keep track of what you eat especially during the holidays.  Remember the tool will not work if we do not work with it.  I know I find myself eating things and then say I should of had more protein instead of veggies or carb.  keep up the good work and you will continue lose.

Annette,

Your progress is AWESOME and you don't me to tell you what you already know but I will: if you notice you are slipping, you need to adjust the slip, curb it in.

I hope 2010 will be your banner year with your personal and professional aspirations.

Hi Annette,

Great progress! I am exciting for you.  I will be at 7 months at the end of December and notice myself munching in between meals. My brain unfortunately tells me to eat all the time. It's annoying and I fight it everyday.  I've thought about writing my food down again to become more mindful. Also, going back to the nutritionist is always a good way to get back on track. I went to mine and told her about wanting to munch out all the time and she gave me some good advice on how to handle the munchies. She also pointed out to me that I wasn't eating enough fat.

Good luck!

Congrats Annette!  Fabulous job well done ^_^  Just look at you...1 lb over half way to goal...such a great motivation ;-)  Really really proud of you!!

1 word of caution....chips and cheese...you are right..no nutritional value, except for a little from the cheese...but the chips will impede your weight loss!!  And of course, you KNOW that...so don't 'settle' for 3 lbs....this is a journey and our minds play games to keep us from reaching our goals.  Nip those old bad habits in the bud..now...or they will come back to haunt you later.  Remind yourself why you took this path...decreasing meds alone is such a great reward!!  Success is yours for the work you put in!

Keep up the hard work...and enjoy all the WOW moments, like walking in the mall for hours (LOL)..that come your way!

Thank you everyone for your kind words and wonderful words of encouragement.

Birthday luncheons this week, Co. Christmas party on Saturday, Brunch on Sunday b/4 the Dave Koz concert and office Christmas luncheon on Wednesday.   Ughhhhh  this may be tough as all the places we are going to are Italian.  I will really study the menu for next weeks luncheon at Geezers.
