Anyone blown away yet??  It is a-howlin' in the Inland Empire right now.  Those of you who are going to be on the road, please take extra precautions. We are having a complex bbq this afternoon, so I hope the winds will die down by then. Other than the bbq, nothing much on the agenda. I think the cough has finally 'left the body'. I sure hope so. I hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning Calif..........

Yesterday, as I was making more peanut brittle I turned and looked out the kitchen window and thought for a second that it was snowing. Only to be faced with the sadness that someones house was burning and it was the ash I was seeing. The only good thing about the sadness in the house burning was that the family was not home, so one was hurt. They where at the home of a family member doing the WHOLE family xmiss thing. I don't know the family the but the lady next door does and she talked to them. The only thing lost (other then the house) was a few gifts that where freinds. They had learned a few years ago to NOT put anything out until the night before. So the rest of the stuff is still on layaway.  Good and Bad I guess.

So last week Aunt Mo went and got some kind of bondo stuff in her back because she had a few cracks that where cause her a great deal of pain. They puts the stuff in and made her lay flat for a few hours.  She was so happy she called as soon as she got home. She was able to walk out of the doctor office standing tall. Something she has not done in a few month, since she fell and got the crackes. Yestereday I went over to see she and take her to her follow up appointment and I  could not believe how tall she was standing.  She was smiling from ear to ear the whole time. The bondo stuff is great.

Well I just remembered I need to put my work clothes in the dry or go nude to work. .....So time for me to wish you all safe fun filled day.

Remember, You are loved by someone in Riverside.

Lu,

WOW what a shame about your neighbors.  I will keep them in thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear your Aunt is doing better though.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning Katt and Cali Friends,

Sorry to hear about the wind down your way, up North we have thick pea soup like fog.  We're heading out to San Jose this morning for Saxophone Christmas.  I have rehearsal 10-noon and then two concerts one at 2pm (Santana Row) and one at 5:00 (Cupertino Square).  It will be a hoot.  After that a group of us who usually play together will rally for dinner.  Ron is our official photographer, so I will post pics later.

I hope everyone has a joyous weekend, remember to take care of yourself.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning Katt and Cali,

I have been a bit MIA.  Hoping to correct that over next few weeks vacation.  We have been going back and forth with a cold, but I am determined to end it here and now for me and Jordyn.  Going to LB coffee today and then do a couple of errands.

Everyone enjoy the day

And a late good windy morning to all of California..
Today brings me a day of no tile saws, no mastix fumes, no workmen trudging thru my hallway, no dogs getting out of the house cuz the sweet workmen are trudging thru the house with remodleing supplies...why??..you ask!!??  Cuz, the bathroom is DONE!!  All that awaits is the shower door installation, a few decorating doo-dads and new pretty towels...then the pictures will be taken and posted.  Its been a busy 6 weeks while this 10 day project was completed..lol, but it was never any stress as we all (5 of us) pulled together and just delt with it.  I have a really nice construction guy who is a sweetheart and a perfectionest and I can't wait to get my next projects started.  My husband has taken a new job that will get him back to full-time hours, so the projects can be done in a $$$$ timely manner..lol  He will still carry a gun, but he is looking forward to having a challanging job again as a district manager of a law enforcement agency.  AND...even though it is salary and always oncall...his hours are 7-5. M-F....no more crazy shifts and never knowing if he will work 20 hrs a week or 40 as a federal CSO.  We are blessed in this economy and this enables us to help out our families who are struggling and participate in my passion of community advocacy programs,
Ok..off to BB&B for new towels!!
Lovenhugs, California family...
