NEED HELP - LAX INFO

I have to be at LAX to pick up Dusty at 10:18 am tomorrow morning.  He is flying in on US Airways.  Can someone familiar with the airport give me some guidance on where to park, etc?  I know I need to get to Terminal 1, and I plan on taking the 5 to the 405 to get there.

What is early Saturday morning traffic like?  I have to figure out what time to leave and was wondering if anyone could give me a guess as to how long it will be once I get onto the 405 from the 5 until I hit the airport.  I know it will take me 3 hours to get to that point from my house.

Thank you to anyone who can help me.  I REALLY appreciate it.  I was relying on Jeff to get us there so did no research.  It turns out he has to work tomorrow so I am on my own!!!!

THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!

Jillie,
Welcome home to Dusty!  How exciting!  And welcome to LA.  LOL!  Traffic is very unpredictable any where in LA so i would double your time and if you are early than you are early . ;-)  From the 5/405 I would say it will take at least 45 minutes to get to LAX, that is assuming there is NO traffic, accident or any other reason that there is traffic on the 405.

You should be able to park in Terminal 1 parking!

Hope that helps!

Hey fake a$$ (that is fun typing that!)

This helps tremondously!!  Thanks so much for reponding to me.  I am just a country bumpkin where I live.  They always say that traffic here consists of a cow blocking the road!

Thanks again!!!!

Hi Jill,

The drive from the 405/5 will be approx 45 minutes.  Leave time for getting into the airport, this is always a joke and I would imagine there are going to be 10's of 1000's more traveling tomorrow to get where they want to be for Christmas.

Terminal 1 will be right there as you come into the airport next to Southwest A/L.  Arrivals are on the lower level.  Parking will be on the left hand side in the middle of the airport.  Don't worry if you can't get in there the 1st time, just drive around and when you make the round you will now be on the inside lane.

By the time Dusty get's off his plane and get's his luggage it could be at least a half hour from landing to seeing you.

Welcome Home Dusty.

Be safe on the road Jill, so many crazy people out there.  For future reference I think there is a commuter airline for US Airways that flys in and out of Long Beach.  Small, no traffic, in and out.

Merry Christmas, have a wonderful time with your family

Thanks Annette!!!

I am kinda nervous about the airport itself, but it will all be good once I see Dusty again!

Fortunately, we are going to be using San Francisco for the trip back to Texas and then back home again.  He gets here tomorrow for 26 days, then back to Texas for a week, then back home again for two weeks and then off to Misawa, Japan for 12 months and then Korea for 12 months.  All of that is using SFO.

Merry Christmas to you and your family too!!  I hope Santa is good to you all!!!!
