I hope you have your gifts under the tree waiting for family and friends to come and calm them. The news says today is going to be a zoo in the stores. AVOID AVOID

I wish each and everyone of you a great day. May you enjoy the holidays with family and friends close by. I am working both today and tomorrow. So DD went to stay at my other sisters who is having the family over.

Ohh I almost forgot, leave early, give yourself lots of time to get where ever you are going. Keep a close eye out for them that are running nuts out there and not driving safe. Get there early and in one peace.

Merry Christmas Eve Lu and the Cali Crew!!!

I am at work this morning.  Thank God it should be a slow, quiet day.  In fact, I have been here for an hour and a half and my phone hasn't rung yet.  Not much freight moving on Christmas eve.  We are closing early today but it is a normal day for me because I get in here early and leave early everyday anyway.  We are having our Christmas party today.  The bosses ordered food from Chilli's for lunch today so it should be good.  I just have to do some grocery shopping after work today and then run to Target to get a movie for my family.  It is a tradition that I do every year.  I always buy one movie that we watch on Christmas day.  Plus...I get to watch my favorite Christmas movie tomorrow....A Christmas Story.  TBS shows it for 24 hours starting tonight.  It drives my kids crazy because I want to watch it several times.  Tomorrow is just a quiet day with me and the kids.  I don't have to be back at wor****il Monday so that is nice.  I won't be able to get on OH until then so I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.  Stay safe and have a blessed weekend!!

Good Morning Lu and Cali Crew!!

Well, my day is filled! Starting in a couple of hours, I shall be like the energizer bunny (oh yeah, can't forget my batteries for the camera)!! See, what I mean?! LOL! Unfortunately, I do have to brave a store, (shudder). I got the wrong size of something, and I am seeing my mom tonight! So that just won't do.

For those of you celebrating tonight, or tomorrow Christmas, or have been celebrating with Hanukkah, or with Kwanzaa, or whatever your belief may be, my wish remains the same. I wish you  love, laughter, peace, friendship, health, family, and acceptance of yourself and others. If I could give you presents, those are the ones you would open that said they were from me! And they would be sealed not with tape but rather smiles and hugs!

So Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa from my family to yours!!!

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Ah, how nice it was to actually sleep in this morning!  I am off until Tuesday and while I have lots to do, it's nice not having to get up and go.  Today brings cooking this morning, a brunch at my mother-in-laws and then dinner at our neighbor's house followed by church service this evening.  My fantastic sister-in-law (Norma) and brother-in-law (Dave) arrived safely from Canada with their cat yesterday and are staying at Isla's.  I made chili and cornbread last night for dinner and we all sat around and watched a Christmas movie.

While they are all out visiting Bert today, I am going to prepare all the side dishes & Ron's favorite pie for tomorrow, so that all I have to do is put it in the oven tomorrow and will get to enjoy the day.  I think I will also set the table today, so that get's done too.

I wish you a very beautiful day filled with much love and laughter, family and/or friends.

Morning Lu and Cali,

Well the count down begins-tick-tick-tick!!!  Making dinner for the in laws today.  We will be home by  8 tonight I hope.  Get to bed early and up early for Santa!  Then a 7 hour drive to my parents house.  Dinner at my sister's in SB with most of the family.

Not sure how much I will be on the next week as I will be in SB and Vegas.  So may you all have a safe and prosperous holiday with your friends and family!!

Oh Delores...I love the music script!!  Where did you get it???  Years ago when I used ICQ, we were able to do scripts and make all kinds of neat characters and printing on screen....sighhhhh, where I met Lon...sooo long ago ;-)  LOL

Good Christmas Eve morning Lu and to everyone,

Well I'm at work today.  Bah Humbug.  But only until noon.  Add to that that our computers are down again and I'm wondering what I'm doing here.  It's actually our server that is down that is why I can get to the internet.  Just can't get to any of my programs that I need.  Oh well, I didn't really plan on doing any work today anyway.

Got all my shopping done yesterday except for the grocery store.  I will do that on my way home this afternoon and I'm done.  Don't have to do anything until tomorrow morning.  Then I'll throw a turkey breast in the oven and get everything ready to take to my son's house.  I'm thinking it's going to just be the nicest of days.  What could be better then spending the day with all the people you love.  I certainly can't think of anything better.

Well, I guess I'll go go get another cup of coffee and wait this out.  Come on noon or sooner if we can get the boss on the phone and tell him no computers.  Maybe he'll just tell us to go home now.

Happy Friday!  Well Thursday but I think it's most of our Friday.  :-)  I am sitting at working watching the clock tic toc.  I am only working until 12ish.  Yippee!  It is cold cold cold.  I am excited about having the next 4 days off and continuing my Fakacation next week.

Merry Christmas Lu and Cali gang
Ahhhh, working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...brings back childhood memories...Mom was a nurse..worked on both days so other moms could be home.  Mom worked graveyard, got home in time for 'Santa' time, slept a few hours, got up and made Christmas day dinner, back to bed by 8pm to sleep a few more hours before heading back to the hospital for the nite. Always wondered how she did it...I would be dead on my feet!

Today is 1/2 day..getting to leave at 11:30 as I came in at 7:30.  Pack up some food, clothes, dogs, birds and 1 son (oh yeah..and LON! LOL) and head out for the foothills to spend Christmas and the weekend at our 5th wheel.  Hopefully, we'll beat a good portion of the traffic if we head out by 1.  Lon has smoked a couple of hams, I'll take the potatoes and veggies with me and I bought a couple of pies...we'll be all set to have a good but simple holiday dinner.  We are taking my middle son with us...a 'mom gesture' on my part....hopefully I won't regret it.  Long story but I keep trying ^)^

Wishing all of you a joyous holiday, however you celebrate it!  I don't claim to be 'politically correct' so:  God Bless You and YOURS!  PS: God won out again in Placer County!!  Some guy made a big noise about angels and stars on government office Christmas Trees...so all were taken off..until the SANE people in the county screamed 'foul'...so the angels and stars are back on!!  Yep, I'm bias..so shoot me!  I am a Believer and dang Proud of it!
