Up date on DD. ....
I am going to try to explain the best I can…………
On Thursday afternoon DD sudden numbness/weakness of the face, arm, or leg, especially on the left side of the body. So she went to the ER where she had a CT scan done to look for damage to arteries or an aneurysm, this is a test she has had 8 time this year alone, but for some reason, she had a bad reaction to it and they found out NOW that she is allergic to contrast they use. It was a BAD reaction and they had to work fast to stop her air way from closing on her. Her whole body turned BRIGHT red. They treated her with some antihistamines that took there time at working. At least that is how it seemed to me, as I watched the episode of ER going on in front of me.
On Friday, they told us that DD had a TIA ………..ministroke which is a warning of things to come. She may have had as many as 3. Right now as far as they can tell, she had no other problems other the weakness on the left side. Her mind shows no problems right now, her speech is good.
There is some others test they are going to do TEE which I dont know anything about other then using a camera to look at her arties and heart. Of course the last time they tried this test, she ended up in the hospital for 5 days. So I am not sure this is a good thing but they need to do something. Also there is MRI that they might do in Monday.
Today when I was there with her, she talked about how she felt weird, so we called the nurse and her BP was LOW and so was her hurt rate. 86/45. They made her lay down with feet up and BP came back up, but would not stay up. So they are going to light up on her meds a bit and see her blood pressure comes up a little bit, but not much. To high is bad, but so is too low.
So right now, we are just waiting……….and waiting….

I am so sorry to hear about DD. I will be keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, they will be able to figure out what is going on with her and give you some answers, I also hope her TEE goes well. Is she at the hospital that you work at? I am sending big hugs your way.
