Welcome to this wonderful Thursday Morning...

Only two full working days left before the weekend. Which really don’t matter much for me since I am still off work, for a while anyway but I am hoping for early release to return to work, but I wont pu**** to hard. For one more week, I will let it rest. I will see what the doctor says on Monday. So far its good. Went out shopping today, was our and about for like 2 hours and now we are resting. I swear it didn’t bother me this for the two weeks before I went and seen the doctor.   Any way yesterday was day 3 on the 5 DPT, soft protein, so how did you all do?? I done good, but didn’t drink enough water, so that is something I need work on today. So today is Firm protein, day 4, http://www.5daypouchtest.com/plan/day4.html Good Luck you great Train Riders. Protein Recommendations: ground meat (beef, turkey, lamb) cooked dry and lightly seasoned, shellfish, scallops, lobster steamed and seasoned only with lemon, salmon or halibut steaks, grilled and lightly seasoned.

Little Michele…….You are right, this is NOT to lose weight, it to get you back to basics and to get off carbs. That was/is my big problem. I hope its help you at getting back to basic. How was work?

Delores……….Are you happy at the weight you are at? Or do YOU want to lose more? Its good that you are seeing a NUT, they can really help when you are at goal, and to keep you there. I hope you had a great day.

Elizabeth…………3 months / 62 pounds that is great work. Keep up the great work. I agree with Michelle, and you should get up a new picture.

Keem………any time Wednesday is good, you just need to pop in and let us know how you did. It don’t have to morning, it can even be early Thursday if needed. 2 pounds is great. Congrats.

Jenn…… 47 pounds in less then a month is great. I can not wait to hear how you do next week. Keep up the great work. Take care.

Gus………….or should that be “soon to be papa" How is the mommy doing? Check in with us anytime.

Kim…AKA: Puddin………..Are you trying to make me jealous? You are to run and I can not even hobble along….LOL. Congrats on the good run and on being calmer today. I can not wait to hear how you are doing next week.   Chris…………seems you posted twice, So are you and Kim in your own biggest loser thing? LOL. Sorry your hip is bothering you but good to hear that sleeping in the chair helped. Hope you feel better soon.

Michelle T……..We all have them demons, that is why I started the 5DPT I the first place, to face my demons. And you are right, you WILL succeed. YOU can do it and we are to here to help. But just for the record, there is NOTHING wrong with losing 1 or 2 pounds a week. That is a very healthy way to lose.

Annette………You are welcome for the morning post. Just so you know, you do not have to be the one posting WWW it can be anyone, you just need to track it. DD is doing much better, in fact she going to a friends house for a few days, leaving me the gimp alone to take care my self. How is that for sister love. Also, if they don't post here with the numbers, don't go looking for them, WWW has been around for 3 years now, they know its here, and will come looking if they want to share there may be reasons they do not want to reply on WWW........ DD’s real name is Deanna…PS

Kim…AKA IMKIM…….getting out and moving is all good. Where did you do your trail hiking? I love hiking and get out and hike the hill around here some, during the summer and fall.

Lola………..step it up or take a break and give you body some time to catch up. How is the running going? Are you ready for LA??? If my foot ever gets better I might …MIGHT try it again…..OR not…

Nancy………..so the scales is not moving, but you are shrinking all the same. Good thing you tried on them paints. And that reminds me that next Wednesday, If I post the morning post, I need to remind others that’s not just the numbers on the scales, it how the body looks and how the PERSON feels.
Eileen………….Girl, I so hear you on the holidays being over. Hey, it’s a year new, so we are all starting off on a good foot, you will start working out more and now that you are feeling better, that should be a simple task. The cough will go when it’s ready; no way you can ru**** Trust me, I know, but good luck….Let me know how that works out for you….lol

Tritia……………welcome to the CA board. I agree with Kim, talk to your doctor and start there. Get in the options classes and get the ball rolling. Its not hard, just can take some time. Good luck, call and make that appointment NOW! Good luck!

Barb………….I agree with Annette, ½ pound at much, and getting back to basic and journaling will be a big help. Good luck and take care.

MsBlues……….food was how we all copied weather we are going to admit it or not, it’s a fact. Being down after the holidays is always a good thing in my book. Even with surgery, it hard to keep it off and keep up with working out and all that junk. I done a ton of baking this year and yes, sampled everything I cooked. Not smart ,but much better then eat it all..

OK time to go back to bed and rest. It’s a hard life, and one that I don’t think I like much. UGH! I need to work. I miss work…..can someone remind me of this in a few week after I am back to work and start whining about having to go to work.

Take care one and all..

Lusty Lu, the return.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Thanks for the great shout out this morning Lu.  Please do give your foot a chance to heal, cuz you could make things worse if you don't.  So take care and rest while you can.... work will ALWAYS be there when you return.

As for me, I am off to work and I got lots to do when I get there.  Not enough of me to go around it seems.  They sure keep me busy!  LOL

Last night was hairdresser night, tonight nails.  Whoo hoo.  Love pampering myself when I can.

Tomorrow is my one year surgiversary, so we're going to celebrate!!  I am so grateful for having had my surgery and all the blessings that have come with it.  My new friends, my health, no complications, my committment to working the tool, new shopping experiences, etc.

Well best get heading toward the shower and getting the day started as my coffee is almost gone.  Hope everyone has a great day.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning "gimpy".  OK that was just mean, but I said it with love.  Real love cause you know I lubs you.

So nothing much to report here.  Just at work and working on a huge project.  We have a new client that needs corporate tax returns prepared from 2002 through 2008 before we can do 2009 and he brought in tons of stuff.  Not stuff that is in good order either.  I call this type of client the shopping bag clients.  So I'm sorting through tons of old dirty papers to put together financial statements so I can prepare tax returns.  Let me tell you, it's not fun.  At least I get paid to do it.  Got to think of it in those terms or I'd go crazy.

Tomorrow they are rebuilding and upgrading our entire computer system so we won't be able to get to any network programs.  I'll have to save everything I'm working on today to my C drive so I can work on it tomorrow.  But at least we are getting a new server.  We've been having so many problems and just couldn't go through tax season without them being fixed.

Well time to get busy here.  Hope everyone has a great day.  It was cold out this morning but I know it will warm up in a bit and turn out to be a beautiful day.  Too bad I can't be outside all day to enjoy it.

Stephanie

I so empathize with you Stephanie :-(  I had a shoe store owner (3 stores) in the Bay Area..every month he brought his paperwork to us in 3-5 individual shoe boxes.  Nothing sorted, itemized or tallied...he was too cheap to hire a bookkeeper, even one part time.  Like you say, at least the time made up my paycheck.  Now that I'm back in the private sector, I can think of those days with humor..but back then...just tore my hair out! LOL

I'll be thinking of you during the next 4 months...and thankful I'm not in your shoes!  (mean mean mean, I know..but it is the truth! ROTFL)

There is no reason, Nancy, for business owners to keep their businesses like this anymore, but as the saying goes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks, so why bother.  Either way I'm getting a paycheck at the end of the day.  Of course I will probably be cross eyed or blind by then, but I'll have money for a seeing eye dog.

No no no...not four months.  I can't think of it like that.  Won't really start getting super busy until February and then we're off to the races until April 15th. Except for me though, I'm swamped more until March 15th, because while I do personal taxes, I do more corporate taxes and they are due March 15th for S corps and partnerships.  It's definitely a busy time of year.  I just keep looking at a calendar and counting the years off until I can retire.  Too many years left I'm afraid.  It's at times like that I wish I was older then I am.  LOL

Morning Lu and Cali,

What a great shout out!  I am trying to stay at 132 I do not want go lower.  My body has a mind of its own (that's what got me into this mess in the beginning!).  Oh well I used to complain about being fat and now I have to be happy about being normal (don't want too skinny!).

This week has flown by for me.  Ms V started her new school, me and DH back at work.  We were gone for over a week and got home Sunday night.  Still need to take down the Christmas lights and put away all the decorations.  Then it is on to planning Ms V's b-day bash (1/13).  we are going to do it simple this year.  Just a family dinner here at the house (about 15 people).  Then another party (Pizza) in SB with her cousins on the long weekend.  She really want a jumper but it has been so cold I just don't want to be outside for hours while she jumps.  Oh well next year she can have a jumper or we can go to one of those jump house places were they have a room full of jumpers and slide.

Everyone have a great day!

that must be the reason for the instant attraction she had to YOU!  We will take her on the weekend to the San Jose flea market and let her jump.  Just no jumper at the house for a whole day!  I will tell her you are sending b-day wishers her way.
