Exercise your body!
OK Gus, I promised I would report today about my exercise last night.....
Well, as I mentioned yesterday, the slight problems with my treadmill do not allow me to start off slow. I had to start at like a 3 minute mile. This led me to walking quite briskly and then jogged a bit. Wait a minute, I need to catch my breath. huffing & puffing......
OK, so now I decided, (Oh WHAT THE HELL), let's put in a personal certified trainer program which I did. It includes speed up and slow downs w/ inclines as well. Huffing & puffing again, hold on a minute........
Where was I ? Oh yeah! Anyway, I continued at the personal trainer pace walking, jogging, huffing and puffing. I was working up a sweat. I have not sweat like this since before surgery. As I am doing this all I can think of was: "WHY DID I PROMISE TO TELL GUS I WOULD REPORT EXERCISE ON THURSDAY, WHY OH WHY"!!!
Since I have not done ANY type of exercise since the 5k walk in October and my knee has been acting up I only continued at this pace for 1/2 mile. It took me 10 minutes, but I will take the 1/2 mile with 10 minutes.
So my friend, tonight after I get a load of laundry started I will put on my walking shoes and instead of getting on the treadmill, I will walk the route I was doing after I had my surgery. It is approximatley 1 mile and takes me about 23 minutes. May take a little longer tonight just until I get used to the walking again. Once I am comfortable with this I will begin to walk my 3 miles.
So Gus, I think I did ok for the first time in 3 mos and it will only get better.

Can't drive my car to the gym tonight... tires are cracked, like REALLY bad... appointment set at Big O for 9am. tomorrow... ran around locally for pricing today. But, I did wash and dry my car, took in the cans and walk the neighborhood... 
I'll be at the gym tomorrow for sure! I'm recovered from my plastics enough, I think... final few stitches came out yesterday... was nice to see Dr. Quiroz... and he'll be at the OH event along with Joyce in May!!!
