Help just a little lost...
I had all my blood work done just before I finished options back in December. EVERYTHING was perfect and they said to stop some of my vitamins cause my body already creates enough of them and I get sorta sick.
So I stop and ok I am all good now since the 7th my surgeon wants me on all my vits again even though he said my body is already high vitamins...
OK so now what? My surgery is not until April do I just keep taking them and feel -blah- or stop and wait till just before surgery?? ( keeping in mind I could be called into surgery any day if someone cancels.)

Hi Kat
First of all....I would send an email or call the office, explain your concerns and how the vitamins make you feel. If the doc still says take them, then take them. Besides the water and protein, vitamins are the most important item after surgery...so many serious issues can come up after WLS if you fail to take your vitamins. Shoot, they're important even without the surgery. I would trust my doctor ^_^

ps...just my opinion here ;-)

Katrina,
Nancy just took the words right out of my laptop! LOL...
I was going to suggest doing the exact same thing. Always talk with your surgeon first, as each surgeon has different protocols. I am so excited for you! I hope they get a cancellation soon. I got a spot warming right beside me. On one side will be Nathalie and on the other will be you! Whoo-hoo!!
Huge hugs,
Michelle

Katrina,
I agree with Nancy & Michelle, call the Doc and remind him why you stopped taking them and see if he still wants you to begin them again.
Years ago, I worked for a brilliant Dr and as smart and great as they are, sometimes they have a tough time remembering one person from another. Suggestion, when you call and leave your message for your Dr to call you back, ask the staff to please pull your chart for him so he can remember the particulars about you to avoid confusion.
Good luck with your surgery and your vites question.
Hugs,
Barb
I swear I love my kp.org account. So I emailed my Doc. And he wants me on the vites but on half right now. So my body is used to them for after surgery but because of my special issues before surgery he does not want to make me sick either.
So I am on half of my multi/Calcium and not taking the b12 till after surgery. So now I just gotta wait for the stuff to get balanced in my system and we are good to roll.
