Well, it would seem that the rain has stopped for the moment, but get ready because another storm is on it's way. We are going to get soaked again.

So, I was with out power for 8 hours yesterday. The fuse on the power pole across the street from us blew about 2pm. It sounded like a 12 gauge shot gun blast. Scared the crap out of me. Edison came to check it out and found that the transformer was bad as well. So, 8 hours later and we have electricity again.

Glad to hear you have a little respite from the rain Katt, cuz it's coming down horizontally right now here in Nor Cal.  I hope it lets up a little during my commute this morning and this afternoon.

Well not much new to report here just gonna jump in the shower and head to work.

If you have to go out in the rain, remember many people forgot how to drive in the wet stuff so be defensive!

Hi Cali Crew,

I am up early to go to the dentist for a crown. Ugh!  I don't have anxiety now, but when I get in the chair, I tend to have panic attacks. In a few minutes I'll be taking a nice dose of happy pills so I am calm during the procedure. I end up having to miss work because I can't drive for around 8 hours afterwards.

We had lots of thunder this morning and then a hail storm that last around 10 seconds. My cats are freaked out. To add to the greatness of the morning, our power went out sometime yesterday and I reset my clock an hour ahead so instead of getting up at 6:15 am, I was up at 5:15 am. I didn't realize it until after my shower. What a dork!

Good morning Katt and Cali,

Well Ms V and I made it home ok yesterday from the drive back up North.  I think there was only 1 hour that it did not rain.  we almost got taken out by a giant tumbleweed on 156.  It hit us from the front and thankfully I was able to keep the car on the road!  She said wee mommy let's do that again!  Thank god she did not get scared.

Today she was frightened by the thunder.  But she was happy to be back at school with her friends.  Hope you all have a great day and be safe!!

What a great morning, it is raining like crazy right now. This is when I am so happy I don't work outside. I wish I didn't have to go anywhere. This is the kind of day to curl up on the couch and read a good book or watch movies. Not that I have much to do, I have to head out to the gym in a bit to have a session with my trainer.  I have my photography class tonight. Looking forward to it. Although I didn't really get to my "homework". Guess I will have to look at it this afternoon. Well, I should get moving. I hope you all have a fabulous day.

Morning All!  The wind is HOWLING up here and the rain is coming down in buckets!  I'm at work after 5 wonderful days off and I enjoyed every minute of it!  2 days of Motorcycle riding training and passed my class.  3 days of excellent company,  and a very restful day off yesterday. 

Today, back at work and just in time for storm room operations.  It's going to be a LONG day!

I have 3 beautiful puppies left out of the 9 I started with.  3 boys -- Vinnie, Milo and Ogre.   Time to find them new homes (we're still debating on whether to keep Vinnie or not)

Back at it.  Keep dry, keep safe and take your vitamins!

Good morning everyone!  We had a blast in Vegas this past weekend and enjoyed spending time with friends and family!

If I hurry, I get to say 'good morning'!  We are home after 5 days in Washington state...just to get home and find the same rainy weather as what we left up there LOL  Where did this wind come from??!!  Was not fun driving the m/h in winds up to 50mph gusts...thankfully, Lon is a master at 'truck' driving.  I know I wouldn't attempt it ;-)

Today is work, staring out the window wishing I was home next to the fireplace; but that will come tonight.  Only 4 more days and then I can relax with a quiet weekend..no plans except to meet up with Nor Cal luncheon folks.  That should be a hoot...haven't seen anyone since November..I sure have missed you all!!!

Back to the keyboard to work...hope everyone is safe and staying dry.

Katt, sorry I did not make it to Kirsten's and Javi's birthday celebration to give you the knitting books.  If you send me PM, I can mail them to you at the end of the month.  Sorry to hear that you were without power for so long.  I hope you don't have to endure that anymore this week.

Cali- on Saturday I ran 10 miles at Griffth Park.  Then went dancing later that evening.  OMG, my legs felt and still feel like crap. 

Sunday, my body kicked my butt.  Would anyone like to donate their legs to me?  I guess payback for all of the activity I did the day before.  For the remainder of Sunday and all of Monday I just shredded papers, organized two shelves of my bookcase and purged a lot of books and papers.
