Reminder new support group Ione CA

Just a reminder of my support group. Starts Monday.

Date:         Monday 2/8/2010
Time:        7:00 p.m.
Place:       Sutter Amador Hospital
                  Main conference room
                  200 Mission Blvd
                  Jackson, CA 95642
                 
I will be there the 2nd and 4th monday of every month.

Since Monday will be the very first meeting I want this one to be a get acquainted meeting and if anyone has any questions hopefully we will be able to answer them.

I want to make this the type of support group where the members are involved in all aspects of this group. They will have a say in the topics, if we want to set up any get together's other than meeting here at the hospital. I want to have a recipe of the month and maybe be able to sample it. I want to start a newsletter in the future, where the members can participate in it. I want to set up a reference binder, and  I want to have a clothing exchange.

This is and will be a friendly, caring environment, supportive, safe, family and friends are welcome. Whether you have had or are thinking of having or are a family member of someone that has had weight loss surgery you are welcome to attend.

So please come by and check us out.

Thank you so much Michelle. I have put up flyers all over town and my DH handed them out at work. I also gave some to the hospital where I will be holding the support group. I posted it on here and at the local library.

I am hoping for a nice turnout. My fingers are crossed. But even if it is not I will not be discouraged at all.

Congratulations Sue!  Wish I could make the meeting tonight but I'm already commited to the Elk Grove group for tonight.  I'll mark my calendar for the 4th Monday....February 22, right?  Can you give a physical street address for the hospital so I can google it?

The conference room is in the main hospital. When you enter the hospital in front of you is the elevators turn right and the 2nd door on the right is the conference room juyst before the cafeteria.

Yes the next meeting is on the 22nd at 7:00. I did not have anyone show up last Monday but it was a holiday for some. Also my ad did not make the paper till today. So hopefully people will come.
