It's Aloha Time!

Hi all,

I am happy to report that when my alarm goes off at 5:30 am tomorrow, I won't be annoyed, but stoked that I'll be jumping on a plane that will lead me to the land of Oahu!! I'll be traveling there with my husband, mother and a cousin that drives me crazy (patience will have to be strong during this trip).

This will be a special trip. My mom has been battling cancer for 4 years now and it appears a new tumor might be back. She faces a battery of tests in two weeks so we decided this would be a good time to take a trip. She's feeling good right now and not under any treatment so away we go. We'll be right in the heart of tourist land in Wakiki. We have a car and plan on exploring the whole island and I hope I get to snorkel everyday. After we return from Hawaii, the next day we go back to the airport to fly to Phoenix to visit with family for 4 days.

I think this is the first time in over a decade I have actually taken more than one week off for a vacation. It feels so freakin' great!

I probably won't have Internet access or intentionally won't seek out a computer until I am in Phoenix.

Hey MB,

I wish you a wonderful trip (or two as the case may be) and hope it is a fantastic and well deserved get away for you, your husband and your Mom.  We'll miss you on Sat but we'll be here when you return and bring pics!  LOL  Hang in there with the cousin!!

You probably won't get this until you get home but I hope have a wonderful trip. Make lots of memories and take lots of pictures. Have fun!

Have a wonderful time. What a great place to go. PARADISE. I would love to just lay on a beach with that fine white sand and listen to the water hitting the beach. Take lots of pictures and see you at the next lunch.
