Baby steps on the path to WLS

Well....  I saw my Dr. today for the results of my lab work and upper GI.  I knew of course that my iron was way low and I have to work on that more.  I was more worried about the results of the upper GI, hoping that it was bad.  Turns out that my stomach is as large as it was pre-surgery, my Dr. says it's as if I never had the surgery before although they know I have had a RNY.
So now I have an appt for June to start the Kaiser path called Options.  I know I have heard some people mention that I can appeal to opt out of this 6 month process, at this point I am just excited to have a 'grossly, deteriorated' surgical procedure.. wooohooooo  points me in the direc tion of getting a revision done.  I was sooooo nervous that he would tell me that nothing was wrong, actually at first he said, everything is good, your fine!!  I was like, fine, what does that mean??
Anyhoo....another high 5 from my Dr. and he said I hope to see "less" of you in the future with a laugh!!!

Sorry that things aren't great for you but that you should be able to have a revision done, and getting back on the right path. If you need anything just let me know.

Hi there, yes you can try to opt out of options but honestly as much as I didnt want to take the classes. I LOVED my options classes. And it was not 6months for me. We started in September and were finished early December. 4 months of classes every other week. Some places do them once a week so then it feels even faster. LOL

If you have questions please pm me.

God bless our troops

Hi Mandy
I am so happy to hear that you get the opportunity to have a wls revision.  The Kaiser Options classes have done from 24 weeks to 20 weeks and now are 12 weeks.  The Options classes are really beneficial and helpful, especially during the WLS journey.
Keep us posted!

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.
