Hello Again Everyone....

As many of you may be aware, my company has been trying to sell the business for 1 1/2 years.  Last week the offer FINALLY came in and it was not to the owners liking so he turned it down.  What does this mean you ask:  I do not have to drive to Corona for work, the company will remain open with the current owners retiring and coming in maybe 1 or 2 times a week.  The company will be run by myself, an estimator and the general foreman.  Now all we have to do is set up some new stipulations as far as pay or profits.  The company has been run this way for some time but not it will be official.

There is one stipulation that MUST be changed if I am to remain here and that is my co-worker who has absolutely NO COMMON SENSE, makes repetitive errors, and really is dummer than that dead possom on the side of the road.  If they do not get her straightened out soon I need to be give the authority to FIRE her and do the work myself (because I can) or hire a college student to come in a few days a week part time which could lead into a permanent part time position.  I am confident this will be done.

Because of the possible sale, fiscal year end, insurance renewals and a $5 million project starting next week and a much needed Foreman's meeting to be held on Wednesday, I have been so very, very stressed and working 10 hour days.  I have done much lurking around the board with very little posting because of it.  Well, I just found out right now that the owners will notify the foreman at the meeting of the new changes.

Now that I am beginning to see the light I will try and do a better job of posting and hopefully eating as well.  I have been maintaining my weight for several weeks now because I found myself going back to old habits of eating candy at my desk, not walking, and doing some serious munching due to the stress at work.  All candy has been tossed out at my office and at home.  I am not a cookie eater and chips are only very occasional so I don't worry about that.  I have made a change to my coffee.  It must have 4 pkts. of sweet n low and enough creamer to where my coffe is very creamy in color.  CALORIES, CALORIES, CALORIES.  Since I truly like Muscle Milk, I decided to try the muscle mile in my coffee.  It is yummy.  It still has calories that I can live with because of the protein I get at the same time.  Yum, Yum.

Well that all for now.  I just wanted to update you on the sale of the business.  Hope to be around the boards much more.

Have a wonderful Monday, now it's time for lunch.

Wow! Congrats on the new job developments, that can be stressful for sure. You're reaching the rubber-meets-the-road part of life after WLS. Your bad habits will always be lurking and when stressful time**** the snacks and calories will always be there waiting for you.

NOW is the time to start making changes and thinking about how you relate to food. I too have had to do a spring-cleaning for the fridge a few times.  If you're a snacker, make them protein snacks. I'm a big fan of beef jerky...chewy and all protein.

You got to do the work now, it's all up to you...you can do it! :)

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Thanks Monica,

I try to keep protein bars, jerkey and muscle milk at my office.  At coffee there were some power crunch bars 15 g. protein and OStrim Snack sticks (15 g protein) that I was able to sample.  Very tasty.

I am waiting for the 1st of the month to use my GNC card to get a better discount.  If that works out better than online ordering this would be cool.  On top of that I want to buy Muscle Milk in bulk vs individual.

I am going back to walking tonight as I want to do the All Star 5k on Sunday July11th.

Thanks again Monica, you are a good source of info and support.

I am so glad that you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! I know how that stress can affect you. When I worked for the post office I ate bags and bags of Peanut M&M's and Peanutbutter M&M's. If someone brought cake in I had the biggest piece. I am a sugar eater. It will be good to see you posting again. I hope things get better soon!

Annette,

You've sure been held in suspense long enough and I am so glad it is turning out favorably for you.  Good things happen to good people, that's all I gotta say!  Do some research on the value of your job, a great website is salary.com and that will give you a pretty fair range of what you should be paid for what you do.

Great news, thanks for sharing.  I know you will get back on track with your eating.  I can relate, and I am trying to do those things too.  I bring my snacks and that really helps me from munching stuff I shouldn't.

Hugs to you,
Barb
