Good Morning All

So yesterday I had two appointments for my wrist/thumb. The first appointment took about 2 minutes, for the doctor to tell me, no change! I could have told him that and saved me the trip. The second appointment was my physical abuse appointment. Which was not so much abuse. That doc done some kind treatment that sent some electrons to stimulate my muscles in my arm. I didn't it worked until I tried to sleep last night, and my whole arm was tried, like it had worked all day at using a saw or something. He put some tape on the sore area to let it rest...I don't think it rested much. But I could be wrong.  But what do I know. But on the plus side, it does feel better this morning. Guess it worked some.

Elizabeth...........I think DD is going to be watching her grand puppy this weekend also. But not sure really, that will be up to her. OMG! how sad it would have been to leave Ryan. I know that broke your heart forsure. Devan sounds so cute. Tomboy and purse! How cute is that? Leather and lace kinda of girl. I hope the kids are feeling better and was able to enjoy there visit to San Jose.

VNARN.............Yap it rained for a minutes here in Riverside, but it warmed up in the afternoon. Made for a nice day for the flowers to bloom, and it helped clean up the air. Which is alway nice. How did your appointment go? any news yet?

Eileen............yes! the weekends fly the rest drag. That last hour of work can feel like a week all by its self. UGH!! I think any reason to stop cleaning the house would work for me. I hate cleaning. I am way to lazy for that. LOL

I wish you all a great work week. Please be safe in all you do.

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Lu hope your arm feels better soon.  That's no fun!

Well Mommy AIC and I and our husbands finished the Bay to Breakers, we did our 7.5 mile walk in 2 hrs and 52 minutes.  A very emotional moment for me personally for a couple of reasons: 1) 2 years ago I could have NEVER done the race much less make it up the Hayes St. hill.  2) We walked right past the hill leading up to UCSF where I had my surgery.  3) My asthma did not flare up one iota, which was HUGE.  I walked up that hill like it was flat ground, with no problem.

We actually had to walk probably close to 12 miles when all was said and done that day.  My feel are a little tired still but I can't wait to do another one.  I swear I saw more naked men than a locker toom that day and 1 naked woman who riveled me with sharpei skin!!!

With some training, I think I could even run a little.  My WOW moment for the month for sure.

Well, that's what's new in my neck of the woods.  I hope everyone has a great week.

Hugs,
Barb

Lu, Barb, and Cali Friends.

My grandkids are doing well. I am heading back to the doctor today. My throat is so sore. I am sick of having this thing. Devan is so cute. She wants to sit on the potty but she doesn't go yet but sits there and then asks for toilet paper. She wipes herself and then looks at the paper and says, "See you tomorrow" and throws it in the toilet. She loves to give Ryan hugs and kisses. He is not to thrilled about that though. They were able to go to San Jose last weekend and had a great time.

Yesterday I went to High Tea with my Red Hat Ladies. We went to the Silver Tea Pot in Manteca and it was so nice. I ate the insides of the little sandwiches. I had Spicy Cinnamon Tea it was really good. Then we went to a couple of thrift stores in Modesto. I got some bling at Bi-Rite. Part of dressing for a Red Hat Lady is wearing lots of bling.

Barb, I am glad you and Dolores and your DH's had a good time doing the walk. I am so proud of you. Congratulations! Why were people walking naked and can you do that in San Francisco. I guess you can.

Lu I am also glad that your thumb is feeling better today. Have fun with DD's granddog this weekend.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Hi all,

Wow! Great job Barb. Way to be part of the Bay to Breakers. I hope some of the nude dudes were fun to look at :-).  I wanted to do our local version of Bay to Breakers, but with my injured knee, that isn't going to happen.

Lu, I hear you with all the annoyances of having body parts that need physical torture, I mean therapy. I can barely walk today after the quad workout my therapist put me through. I have no knee pain, but my thigh muscles hurt like hell!!!

Elizabeth, you are having way too much fun with your grandhchild. How fun. I always wanted to be a grandparent, just not a parent. I'll have to adopt some grandchildren in a few years.

I am really frustrated with having a couple of injuries that are keeping me from being active. I am a mess today in terms of pain in my knee and my old shoulder injury that is rearing its ugly head. I may just do nothing tomorrow. I feel so lethargic. Oh well, it has to get better!!
