One week countdown

One week to go until my surgery....

I have a question. Did anyone have to take atenolol (a beta blocker) pre-op? I had to start with one tablet today and tomorrow and then take 2 pills daily including the day of surgery. Then I have to take them post-op. Just curious.

Tammy, Atenolol is a beta-blocker. I called the office yesterday and they said since I have a history of hypertension, I needed to take it. It is to protect my heart. I am also hoping that my liver is small enough so they can do the surgery....something else for me to worry about! LOL Thanks for checking in on me!
