Tom, I think because it has protein and nutrients and added with milk, it gives you a nice protein filled meal. I haven't stockpiled anything because I am afraid I won't like it after surgery. I did find a smaller can of Designer Whey protein which I tried and it wasn't bad. I also bought a box of IsoPure protein powder packets which has a variety of flavors from GNC. I figured since they will take it back and exchange for something else, I won't be wasting the 50 bucks it cost me if I don't like it. Terri
