Hello Everyone, Just thought that I would try to squeeze a bunch of thoughts into one long post rather than go back to say all that I wanted. I have been lax at responding to many of your posts and it isn't that I don't care or haven't read them, its just that I have been really busy and feeling somewhat overwhelmed. So here goes..........first of all, Congrats to Debby M. on your date, Kathy B on your birthday and anniversary, Kathy K you and Robin are looking real good. Phyllis get that lawyer and appeal appeal appeal. Tara, great hair cut..., Joanie, I love the bowling idea but Heather doesn't seem to want a shower so lets just bowl and chat away. It will be great fun. Deanna your time will be here before you blink. Good luck to all of you who have surgery up coming. To those post-ops, keep working your tool, this is a life long process not just the honeymoon period. Cheryl S. it is sooooo good to see your beautiful face back amongst us. Thanks for taking Phyllis under your wing. She is a real sweetheart. Lisa C.......what can I say but you have a heart of gold and are the best!!!!!!!!! I know I am forgetting someone and I don't mean to. Please forgive me, my mind is in a million places. I got my annual blood work results back and for the most part I am very pleased with them. My vitamin D levels are pretty low and I think that is interesting since I had the blood work taken a few days after getting back from Cancun where I sat in the sun for hours and hours. Imagine what they must have been before I went My sugar levels are still giving me issues. They were really good in Mexico and have been climbing steadily since I got back. Not sure why. Not doing anything different other than taking some magnesium. I have decided to stop that for a few days to see if it makes a diff. Still using my cpap machine but I keep the hope that someday I will be able to chuck it. Someone mentioned constipation issues this week. I had to laugh because a year later I am still having those issue. I am up to 3 stool softeners a day. All I can say if find a regiment that works for you and stick to it. My plateau remains and for those of you that are a month or two out and stuck are not experiencing plateaus. That is normal. You will not lose for a couple of weeks and then bam it will melt and that cycle will repeat itself. However there are those of us who are going on 3-4 months on a plateau. I was feeling pretty hopeful yesterday that things are starting to move for me but............it is not offical yet. I have lots churning inside my head but mostly how grateful I am each day to have had this surgery and to be able to do so many more things with my life than I have in years. I feel good and that is the most important thing I can ask for. I promise to be more present here on the boards and wish you all a great weekend. I am still going to plan a shower, maybe at my place if you don't mind being squeezed in....... good thing we are all or going to be soon smaller . Doesn't matter what size because I love you all. Linda, It is good to know that these mini-plateaus are normal. I sure hope your plateau is over soon. I think surviving a 3-4 month plateau is success in itself.... I know in my diet history.... I would have given up after 3-4 weeks. I sure hope I have the committment that you have to keep plugging away when I get to that point. Thanks for the great post. terri

Hi Lin! Wow, those are some musings alright! Since my DH is also diabetic, I know sometimes for no reason at all his sugars soar. Sometimes it's a matter of change, change in sleep or activity can do it too. Don't worry since that will raise it also. Thanks for the kind words on me angeling Phyllis, she is one great lady and I hope and pray she gets a date soon. I wish you'd update your picture too. I talked to Kathy Bilodeau with some ideas of jump starting your weight loss again. Kim B and I tried it way back when and it worked. Just our own thing, but it worked. We acted like we were newly post op and ate just that way for 5 days. We gave it a short time so we'd do it, then we added a day here or there if we could tolerate it. It amazed us how quickly our pouches shrank again and we lost. love you huni! Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for the words of encouragement. Kathy and I are starting on the protein train today........hmmmm anyone else want to join us? It will be hard I am sure but worth the effort. I have not been gaining any weight but certainly not losing any either. Hopefully this will jump start the process again. I have such a busy week coming up that I probably won't have time to eat anyway..... I am sooo glad that you are feeling better and now get to drive. Last Dec. my sister had back surgery and couldn't drive and I was her chauffer since I was home from work with my WLS. What a pair we were.. I just love your new pic but you need to go in and change the caption under it on your profile. Have a good day and will talk to you soon. Linda
