I'm APPROVED!!!!!! JANUARY 16th!! NEW DATE! (gulp)
Congratulations Sher-I am so glad for you-I will be thinking of you and lots of luck-I talked to a cousin today who had the surgery and lost a huge amount-her energy is incredible-I can't wait until they start the band at HH-What I would give for more energy-I have yet to wrap a Christmas present, and I have a large family to wrap for-now that I am out of school for vacation for a couple of weeks I hope to get caught up with things-I start pre surgery PT on Monday to help with the exercise, and also have to schedule a sleep study after the 1st-anyone know about these?
Jeanne
Hi Jeanne,
Thanks so much for your good wishes. I am looking forward to having more
energy too..now that surgery is a reality for me I am very much in touch with just "how sick and tired" I have been...of BEING sick and tired. I can't wait to get the fat off...finally a leg up...some REAL help and motivation.
I have the procrastination thing too..I have to make dessert for 10 people for Christmas Dinner and I have to get out and go to the grocery store...all I want to do is go to sleep..(I work nights and got home about half hour ago)...I dread fighting the crowd.
Sleep study..they wire you up all over the place...your head..I think your arms and legs..put you in a strange room with a strange bed and tell you to go to sleep. They want to check for sleep apnea..to see how you breath and if you stop and snore and snork...I guess folks with bad apnea are a anesthesia risk..if it is moderate to severe they will likely get you on the CPAP to improve O2 levels, in conjunction with the PT you are doing.
I don't know WHEN Tishler is going to start doing Lap Banding...but it can't be too far down the pike if he has you in PT.
Have a Wonderful Christmas!
Sher'
Wonderful Girl!!!!! Congratulations to you and Merry Christmas too! Now prepare for a rollercoaster of emotions but doesn't feel wonderful? I had my gastric bypass on 8/4/04 and I was terrified but came out very well Thanks god, and you will too!! and yes you will wear nice body fitted, white colored, not always black, clothes it's time for a change and you will have that opportunity. So Congratulations again and tell your hubby to prepare himself with extra energy to keep up with you.
God Bless,
Millie
Dear Millie,
Thanks! You know what? I admit I am a little scared...and it's weird because I have had 2 other operations and went in without flinching, but this is probably about all the lifestyle changes as much as anything else.
By the way..hubby can't keep up with me...unless it's from the "Other Side"...and I DON"T mean the loser bench!
(Jon would get a kick out of this as he had a wry and dry sense of humor)...(Absolutely NO harm done!)......but it has been 7 years now...and I am overdue to get someone to chase me!!!
New Body, health,New Life!!! Here I come!
(New Boobies and new tummy too if that's what it takes!),Maybe I will be able to wear something from Victoria's Secret besides the PERFUME!
Have a WONDERFUL Christmas!
Hugs,
Sher'
