Dr. Bell Patients - Eat Lightly
Hi Magaly,
I remember this stage so well. I was so tempted to go and eat as much pasta as I just kept thinking I may never be able to eat this again. But I resisted and actually had a steak. I'm glad I did since I wasn't able to for months. But if your heart is set on doing this right, you should go bland and non heatrburn producing. I had the steak, a glass of wine and a caesar salad and didn't experience any side effects. Now I am not encouraging this behavior but I just feel like telling you what I did.
I wish you the very best and a speedy, uneventful recovery!
Cheryl
Hi Maggie,
First of all I got your email and we are all set. Did you give Emily my cell phone number? If not please do so. I will try calling her about 2pm as you should be out of surgery by that time but probably still in recovery. I do plan on going early on Tues to the meeting so I can stop up and visit with you for a bit and bring you down to the meeting if you are up to it.
As far as the eating lightly goes..........

that is something new. Actually by the time my surgery came I was so sick of food that I ate lightly just because that is all I wanted. I don't think there is any real restrictions. It is probably more the amounts than the actual food. I think I had a turkey sandwich for my last meal. Just start getting used to cutting out the starches and sweets and you will be fine. Have a totally Happy New Year!! Girl's night in sounds like a blast. The countdown has begun.........
Linda
