ot...Update Officer peter Lavery

Happy New Year All a few days ago I posted about my son losing his best friend police officer' Peter Lavery of the Newington Police Department. Peter was shot in the line of duty. I want to thank all of you *****sponded with offers of sympathy for my son,prayers and words of support, My son Chris is having a hard time coping with this. He was interviewed the other night by fox news and I did'nt recognize him...he looked old and worn out. Chris has been honored by Peters family by being asked to be a pall bearer. the only civilian...others are all fellow police officers. The town of Newington has posted Peters picture on it's web site and there is a place to send messages of condolence to Peters family. thanks too all of you for your support angel A http://www.ci.newington.ct.us/Home

Hi Angel, I am so sorry for the loss of Peter Lavery. My heart goes out to his family and to your son. I'm glad they have asked him to be the pallbearer, I think that will mean a lot to Chris as time goes by. What a horrible thing to have happened. It does make me angry though that this isn't the first domestic complaint that the police have had to respond to there. It's one thing to put your own life in jeopardy by remaining in that situation but when you put other peoples life on the line it is another story. I think this woman should be charged with something for Peter's murder. I guess this is something that I just find so appalling because my husband was once a policeman and I used to worry so much when he would be out on drug raids. Thank you for your updates. Love, Sandy
