Hello to all
Hey CT WLS Family: 
Just wanted to say I am home and feeling great. My surgery was on the 30th in the early AM it took about 2.5 hours and went well, except the idiot doing my IV on my left arm killed me. I wanted to punch the guy, its a good thing I was strapped down.
My left hand does hurt a lot now, but the heat helps. I have lost 23lbs as of today. This is amazing and I can't tell you all how great!!!!
I want to thank everyone for their emails and cards on the net. Its so nice to have people from CT and all over the US wishing you good luck.
I was put on so many prayer chains in so many different religions along with my own, I think God may of got sick of hearing the name Kim Callahan. 
I hope to be able to meet some of you sometime. Especially the group that gets together every month. I was sick and could not make the dinner at On the Boarder in Orange. Hope everyone had fun!!
I wanted to let you all know that I am on stage 3 now and will be back to Dr. Barajas on the 12th of January to find out if I get promoted.
I can not get over how filled I feel with such little, but yet I am satisfied too.
Well gotta go for now its getting late and I have been sitting too long. My love to you all.

I am glad you made it through without hurting the IV schmuck. Just think of how hard it would have been to do your vitals through handcuffs. 
When I had my surgery, I had this bozo who needed to take my blood and said she couldn't get it with me sitting up. So what does this sadistic person do? (Remember I am half asleep because it is like 3 am.) She starts to lower my head and everything is pulling. I had 32 staples in me. After 2 failed attempts (I'm an easy stick) and blood everywhere. She says aloud to herself that maybe she should have turned on the light. What the heck.
