Hey again, I have another question, I take Zoloft and Wellbutrin antidepressants. They have me crushing them, but it makes me so sick. I have not taken them in a few days. I don't know what to do? I thought I would call my doctor tomorrow or wait until I see my surgeon on my week visit Tuesday. KimC

Hi Kim, I know most pills taste awful crushed but unfortuatly it comes with the deal. I first want to congratulate you on joining us losers and welcome you to the board. I also apologize that you went through your surgery without an Angel. If you ever need any help, have any questions or concerns feel free to email me at any time. I'm at your disposal. If your interested we can exchange numbers if you'd like. OK... to get to your question. It's not a good idea to totally stop taking the medication. It's not good for your system or your health in a whole. Do not wait till you go to the Dr. Call him as soon as possible and resolve the issue. Maybe he will change your meds. How are you taking your crushed pills? WIth jus****er or a flavored beverage? Or have you tried a little bit of unsweetened apple sauce? I could never do mine with water. I had to do it with crystal light. I wish you the best of luck. ~Julie~ Open RNY 8/9/04 370/275/150 -95lbs

You are way too new to be adding the cruched pills to anything at this point, expecially fruit based. Sorry, but you'll have to just tough it out. Once you get approved for applesause with splenda, it will be much better. BTW..... get back on the pills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't ever quit either one cold turkey, and expecially at the same time. Peter-The nurses at the hospital gave me my crushed pills in applesauce and Lois told me to do that at home...because I was having such a problem with them. I asked about it..they said that small amt wasn't going to hurt... Joanie

Kim, Before stopping your meds, please contact your docs office on Monday. With Anti depressants you are never supposed to just stop the totally, you are supposed to gradually cut down. Don't wait until your visit, call! This could also be why you've been feeling sad. I know after surgery I had to change my anti depressant because I wasn't absorbing the other one correctly. I am not trying to make excuses for your angel, but you will also find huge results on the website if you reach out a little. My angel resides in Washington State and we make it work. I would encourage to you start posting here more often and hop on the eating and exercise logs!! Welcome! Cheryl

Kim - I am also on zoloft. I just cut it in 1/2 and swallow. Never had a problem with it. Dr. Aranow told me that if your pill is smaller than a baby aspirin, you can swallow. Hope this helps! Love, Tammy

I was told (at 2 wk check-up, I think) that I could cut my oill into four pieces. I would make sure it was ok, but I couldn't get my anti-depressant down otherwise, it was SOOOO gross! Carmen
