Food Log for Monday!
Had to get a jump on this one Joanie!
I already know what I'm having for today.. and this whole week.. NOTHING! I'm sick of this plateau and sick of eating.. so I'm going to do nothing but shakes until I can get myself back under control.
I may throw in a protein bar or so, if I can keep it at half a bar per snack.
No matter what I eat lately I've been getting pain with it and this awful gas now. I definitely know I can't do milk products. They hate my new system.
Big question of the day.. does anyone know how to prepare the Atkins Shake Mix to make it actually taste DECENT!?? They seem so crappy and never come out tasting anything near what the premade ones do. Any advice there would be much appreciated.
Have a good week!
Michelle

Good Morning Michelle,
I am on the protein shake/bar train myself to get off this plateau so I can hit the century mark. I normally drink the Atkins RTD shakes but I did buy the powder too and your right... it doesn't taste the same. I was thinking of trying to blend it with some ice today to see if that works. Let me know what you find out.

Opps didnt see you already started this Michelle. Feel free to start it anytime my friend! Good luck with your plateau. I find it hard to exercise..and would hate to act like one of "those people" but i really feel that increasing my exercise a bit has helped me these last couple of weeks. Just a suggestion...I am loving the Leslie Sansone Walking Aerobics tapes!

Julie, I've tried blending the mix with ice.. helps with the strawberry, but the chocolate I believe is a failure. I also tried some of the whey protein lemonade drink..which reminded me of that awful stuff we had to drink before surgery
so that's out.
Thanks for the advice Joanie. I will check out the tapes.. are they ones you can do inside? I'd have to wait until I move in March.. I'm on the 3rd floor now.. don't think the 2nd floor would like me too much!
I can't wait for nice weather so I can really get out there and give it a go.
Thanks again!
Have a lovely day.
Michelle

I have some of the Atkins powder and have not tried it yet. I guess I will try it this week and see what happens.
I have been using a Pilates tape for exercise.
I wanted to share a new recipe, I tried a new Teriyaki sauce. I was going to make my own, but found a low carb sugar free sauce at Stop and Shop. It's Maple Grove Farms of Vermont and has no calories, fat or protein, but less than one gram of carbs. It is tasty. I marinaded my chicken breasts all day in a bottle of this, poured the sauce off into a sauce pan, broiled the chicken breasts, and heated up the sauce. The whole family loved the chicken!
