I'm Going for It!!! I got a date!!!

After a long night of thinking and of course reading the comments people wrote to me, I made the decision to go forward with the surgery. The fact is that I am weighing my health against a job and right now I do not feel healthy. I would like to feel less tired and get rid of this back and leg pain. I spoke to my supervisor today and told him that I was having major surgery, without getting to specific. He stated that he understood and that arrangements could be made while I was gone to get my work completed. So OH family, my date is now 3/16/05!!! I have a lot to do in 5 weeks! Pray for me.

You're correct in only telling your supervisor you are having major surgery, nobody needs to know the specific details. And you know what? Everything happens for a reason. Delicia, what it finally came down to for me was weighing the risks of the surgery against the risks of me continuing on the path I was going. It was a "no brainer." Congratulations on making the tough choice, you're not going to regret it! Ann 101lbs GONE!
