Hello everyone, Thanks so much for the well wishes. I came home last evening and was so exhausted from not sleeping well at the hospital that I went right to bed and slept rather fitfully but for 12 hours. I feel much better this morning. The experience was everthing I had expected, as I had been in the same hospital for a hernia operation in October. The staff was wonderful and were for the most part responsive. The only lacking was hospital gowns that fit, but hey at that point I didn't much care what I looked like. LOL. I have been keeping down clear liquids since the end of day two. Was having some type allergic reaction to the morphine making me wretch terrible after the first three dosages so we changed to a liquid oxycodone which was tolerated much better. I walked as soon as i was up to it and tried to walk about once an hour. Boy did that help with making the gas move around and eventually pass. It is wonderful to be home. I will be conscientous about getting my fluids in. It has been difficult as I am neither hungry nor thirsty most of the time. Very nice to be on this side of the surgery. Wishing everyone the smooth sailing that I have had. Lise

Lise: Thanks so much for letting us know the outcome of your surgery and your progress so far. I had been thinking of you since Tuesday wondering how you were. But knowing you had one of the best surgeons, I figured you were OK. Glad to hear you got some well deserved rest upon returning home. Take care. Towanda
