Home and doing ok
Hi everyone! I missed chatting with everyone.
I haven't been on, because I've had computer problems, but everything is ok now.
It's been 1 week and 3 days. It's been rough the past 2 days. I've felt very weak, light headed and tired. Can't wait till this passes. I started using Isopure when I came home, but couldn't tolerate it. Just started a new protein shake today. Hope it helps. Otherwise I'm at the point of being totally frustrated.
Other than that, things have been going well. I've lost 22lbs!! Yahoo!
I want to thank everyone for all of their words of encouragement and support. It helped a great deal!
Take care everyone.
Christine
My surgery was 2/14/05 so we are about at the same time frame. I had a couple of those days that you had described, but you do get past it. My gosh you've lost 22 lbs so far, thats fabulous. I havent weighed myself yet I'm waiting til I go back to Dr Bell. Hang in there Christine it gets easier. Lori G
We have the same surgery date! I am getting by on Unjury Chocolate Protein shakes blended with ice and half a bananna, it is really good. I also eat Tomato Soup, Chicken Broth and Sugar Free Popcycles. I am gonna try jello today I think. My body, like yours has its good days and its bad. Yesterday was a great day, I felt wonderful, today I am really tired. But I know everyone goes through it so I remind myself that this will pass. Best of luck to you!
Hi Kristin,
How much are you able to drink at a time? My surgeon says 1oz. Although, sometimes I have a little more, because 1oz doesn't seem to be enough. I had some tunafish today. It was awesome.
Anyway. Thanks for your input. I am trying a protein drink I got from Cosco. It's not bad. It's way better than the Isopure. I love the sugar free popsicles too.
Best of luck to you too!
Christine
