Good for you joining the gym. I too belong to PF and I believe you can use any of their facilities at any location.
Also for a fee, I'm not sure how much, they do have a trainer that can help you with instructions on the machines and a workout plan.

You can only use other facilities that the Planet Fitness you belong to owns. As a Hamden member you can only go to Hamden or Bnfd. Orange members can go to Milford...and Shelton and Trumbull I believe.
