Hi Lauren, I totally can relate to the not losing weight the way you thought you would and how everyone said it would come off in there own experiances. I had surgery on the 10th of Feb. I am a scalaholic, from the day I got home from surgery to a week ago I would weigh myself over and over again during the day. I lost 30 pounds the first 2 weeks or so and now NOTHING, ZIP. The scale hasn't moved. I thought my scale was broke and went out and bought another scale and compared. That too said the same weight loss. Its hard to believe that my pants are lose and I've gone down a few sizes but the scale is not moving. I eat VERY little. and that right there is frustrating. Watching everyone eat the foods that you once enjoyed is very frustrating. Knowing you are doing it all right and eating what your suppose to is very frustrating. I got rid of my scale, I have not weighed myself in a week and you know what I feel better. My clothes fitting lose is what is making the difference. I am positive for you and me that is will come off. It didn't come on overnight and it too is going to take time to come off. Have faith honey. Get rid of the scale, and try to enjoy the ride. Many hugs, Tara K

Sorry to hear you are feeling so lousey...maybe Dr. Bell might want to consider an antidepressant medication to help take the edge off..you have really been through it. No matter how you look at it...you have lost a considerable amount of weight in a little under 2 months..look at the whole picture...all of the pain and stress of the medical problems likely has messed with your body's set point. Slow and steady wins the race...when I have hit a slump I increased my protein and water...and I am happy with my progress..fortunately my Doc takes into account my age and potential for insulin reisitance and has never given me a goal other than to aquire improved health and quality of life...I was told never to dread an appointment..no matter what..because of slow loss or any related matter. I am sure you will find Dr. Bell to be understanding of your position as well. You have had many stressors...which stimulates cortisol..which impedes fat metabolism. I sincerely hope that all imporves for you soon. Sher' 272/232/????
